Compact Hydraulic Pump Power Unit, 6 Qt

Very nice pump, good quality, American fittings. When I pulled this thing out of the box, I thought thank god. You could tell it wasn't junk!! I was hesitant cause It was a $100.00 more than that Chinese ones, and worth every penny. Getting tired of cheap products. got it in about 4 or 5 days, the directions were very clear on how to hook it up. I would absolutely but this pump again. Fabricated a rack on the back of my motor home with 2 hydraulic cylinders to raise my 800 lb harley. Did it with no signs of struggle at all. Works perfect.

Stellar quality vs the cheaper imports. Trust us, we know 1st hand. We have tried the happy ones and find them difficult to plumb and work very slow compared to the KTI. This KTI unit can be found in some dump trailers made in the USA. The price point makes it a perfect replacement choice for our dump trailers. We have used the SPX and have had similar quality results, but a bit more expensive. Seen the Monarch pumps, but the price puts them out of our reach. But why would we ever try with the KTI proving its self over and over. The range in PSI and it's adjustability give it a range of uses. From the factory it needs no adjustment for a dump trailer. We did increase the pressure to max, using a test gauge, for a roll-off system with hydraulic winch to get the fastest speed and max pulling power. Easy to plumb with sae size fittings and wiring diagram included, unlike the cheap import version. Have not had any issues with the cheaper ones other than plumbing and lacking instructions. But save the headache of trying to figure things out. This is a must buy for anyone needing a replacement pump and remote for a dump trailer. Thanks Amazon and KTI.

Good price great product

It works as advertised. Comes pre-wired, saving me the hassle. Smaller than the unit I’m replacing. But at least as powerful. I’ve only used it a couple of times since installed it, busy so far so good. Will update review if anything changes.

Bigger tank than the original function as designed

I have purchased this twice. Simple plug and play. Was blown away at how well it worked. I am in the junk removal and dumpster rental business. Hydraulics are something I frequently mess with. The first one lasted 3 years of constant use. I thought that was okay, not great. Also not horrible. Were hauling maybe 1000 lbs. Majority of the loads are less, 500-800 lbs. I'm not a roofing company overloading my truck and the dump mechanism. When it failed I was excited to get another one. That second one just failed 2 days ago after working for only 18 months. I thought maybe its the solenoid. So I purchased the proper one and it didn't fix the problem. So at this point I'm afraid of quality problems for a 3rd one. Has quality control become a problem? Did I get a slightly defective one for the second purchase? The hydraulic pump that I initially replaced was still working after 20+ years. I just wanted to upgrade. Having to replace this pump three times in 4 years is going to lose me as a customer. It feels like planned obsolescence. Creating a product that is failing on purpose.

When I opened the box I found an awesome hydraulic pump system. But the control unit plastic cover was broken. When I called the customer service that I received was reminiscent of the 90s. Not only did I get off the phone feeling good but I also received the replacement in 4 days.
