It will chop crisp items such as carrots onions peppers mushrooms, potatoes and similar items very fast for salads, sauces, stews, etc. Do not attempt to dice 'fibrous' material like meat or fish - it doesn't work.The mesh grid that sits in the base makes it very easy to clean. Just peel the onion, chop in half, put in-between the crocodile and whack! Beautifully and evenly chopped onions and no tears! Perhaps if I was to buy it again I would opt just for the medium copper attachment as I don’t use the garlic one much. But the medium a lone didn’t come in the stainless steel one.Overall very good if a little expensive. I make a beautiful fine mixed salad with it and I chop everything from cucumber to tomato, peppers and even lettuce with it. The tomatoes peppers and cucumber I have to slice first but it’s worth it as it’s all evenly sized and tastes so nice.
