Sulfate is an detergent ingredient used in shampoos for lather. It is not used in styling products or conditioners.

Has anyone found a replacement that is as good as the old formula? I can't use this new one. Any suggestions? I've tried many with no good results.

Is it ok to use on colored hair?

I use it on hair that is colored with a henna/indigo mix and it causes the color to fade very quickly so I have an uneven color throughout my hair. It contains essential oils which may be great as a treatment but can strip henna coloring from hair.

is this a mousse or a spray?

I would say neither, its more like a gel/cream. As someone with wavy hair that wanted more curl/definition this stuff works great. And I've tried nearly everything. Just don't use too much.
