The Great Wings Book

Good.

To me, Chicken Wings are one of the 4 major food groups... I've been developing recipes and cooking wings for years.I decided to try the book because I love trying new wing recipes and it was inexpensive (total impulse purchase.) I had very low expectations because it was not by a well known chef and was a cheap book. Often the recipes in books like that are ok, but nothing special.I have been very pleasantly surprised by this book! All the recipes I've tried have been accurate and produced great results. My favorite are the carolina wings (though not a "true" carolina barbecue sauce as I am used to it, it worked great with the wings!)The ONLY problem I have with the recipes is that several of them have too much sugar and produce results that are too sweet. Some of the sugar will be in there to help the wings color up nicely as the sugar caramelizes, but the results are too sweet. I have gone back and adjusted some of the recipes to cut the sugar for both taste and health reasons.If you like cooking wings and want to try a bunch of wing recipes this is a good consolidated source.

This book is simple to follow and has reasonable ingredients. I have made several of the easy to follow recipes and have not been disappointed

Bought this for my husband and he loves this book. I got him the spiral bound style and he said all of the variety of recipes look delish and are easy to follow! Picture quality is great too of the finished product by the author. And he also said the book wasn't very overwhelming!

I have two or three of the books in this series. They are all fairly interesting and will certainly give some ideas. I am pretty much a purist when ot come two wings just not real hot ones. There are some taste ideas presented here that are worth trying and experimenting with.

I got this for my husband for Christmas because he loves making wings, and he was always looking up recipes on his phone. To avoid having a deep-fried phone, I thought the book would be a good gift. He LOVES it. He doesn't like to read, generally, but he'll keep the book handy and skim through the recipes when he has time. Thanks!

I was looking for more recipe ideas and the book was hard to read being so narrow.

I love this book. It's actually the second copy I've purchased (I gave my original to a friend). Very good instructions on prepping the wings and the sauces are amazing. The Thai wings are awesome, I've made them at least a dozen times. Results will rival any restaurant wing.
