We knew that they would like the color options and the bluetooth speaker options. We bought each of our boys an MP3 player for christmas and the idea was that this light could be used for a night light, speaker to listen to music as they went to sleep, and it could help them wake up in the morning. It does all this and more. We also bought a more expensive wake up light for my wife and I (Philips Wake-Up Light Alarm Clock with Sunrise Simulation, White (HF3500/60)) and I was less impressed with the functionality of the one I bought for myself. Not only does this wake up light have everything I'm looking for but it also has a sunset simulation. I use it to help my boys understand that the light turns on bright 30 minutes before bedtime and it helps them get in bed so they can use the fading light to read, before it gets too dim and turns off (sleep time). The light changes by degrees over time, which isn't a big deal. The Phillips wakeup light I bought for my wife and I fades and brightens through a gradient by comparison (nicer, but not that big of a deal). This wake up light only has one flaw in my opinion that's worth mentioning. When our boys connect their MP3 players to the bluetooth setting, their is no way to adjust the volume on the wake up light. We have turned the volume all the way down on the MP3 players, but it's still quite loud music coming from the wake up light. When you touch the +/- buttons it changes the song on your MP3 player, rather than adjusting the volume on the bluetooth speaker. When I connect my Samsung S6 phone to the MP3 I can get the music quieter, but I'm going to try a piece of foam or something to bring down the volume down (kind of annoying). ### ⭐⭐ Doesn't keep time well after 30 days *by S***K on Reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2019* Pros:Lights up brightly in different colors.Like the yellow wake up light in the morning.Bluetooth works from cell phone.Cons:Clock is off by 3-4 minutes every month, ugh! An alarm clock that doesn't keep time... :(You can select all of the light colors, except white-yellow, which only comes on only with the alarm. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bit of a learning curve to the setup but works well. *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2019* I was looking for a simple sunrise clock; one that reliably fades in light in the morning and doesn't make any noise. It took some fiddling, and a few days of waking up early or it just not turning on to get it dialed in right, but after it was setup I had exactly what I wanted.
