I did my research of what was available & what I wanted and decided on this light - it was not the cheapest but my goal was quality / function over finding the cheapest one. I purchased one to make sure I liked the size, quality etc. As soon as I got it I ordered two more (one more for the succulents and one for me). It is nice and sturdy and does not feel cheap. It was easy to pull out of the package and plug right in. The necks move really well and I feel the length gives me a good range. It did notice I felt really good when I was sitting beside the lamp so I did my research to compare my much more expensive SAD spotlight and found that these are actually safe to use and give me the full benefits. Based on the pic I was expecting a more purple light but was delighted to see it is really pink. I have no idea of how much it speeds up propagation or color of succulents (b/c I have never had them before) but based on research and the experts in my group they say this will dramatically help with propagation plus make the plants quite happy. Apparently to really bring out all of those pretty shades in succulents proper sunlight is the secret.

This works really well. I use it on a dracaena compacta and a peace lily in a room with little natural light. They both are absolutely thriving. The auto-on, timer, and setting adjustments are all really well done and unexpected at price point. The only downside i've found is the clamp. It's hard to find things to clamp it to and the adjustable neck pieces wont always stay put without some jimmying. Still very happy with it since it works well and the functions outweigh the con of the meh clamp.

These lights work perfectly for my application. They are flexible enough that I can position them where I need them, but strong enough that they do not say or move from the spot where I place them. Lights are bright, and the coverage is good. The timer function is OK, but if you lose power of unplug it for any reason, you have to reset the timer. The biggest problem with that is, say you want it to operate 6 am - 6 pm. Well you have to be at the timer at 6 am to set it. Small problem overall though. This is a very good value.

Update 2/20/19- This light is awesome! My succulents are doing great and have been growing like crazy! Even a little tree i planted sprouted new growth in 2 days after being under the light, highly recomend! Aside from the flexible arms that hold they lights not being very strong in holding position, these work great! I got the light for a desert planted terrarium for some beetles and i just recieved the plants today, so i will update how well it helps them grow in the future! The settings are easy to figure out and i like the brightness, color options, and timer options! I just used plastic string from walmart's craft area, but a person could use yarn to hold the metal arms in place. Would have been 5 stars if the arms were stronger :)

I have a rose bush in a large planter that got moved to my basement when the warm weather ended. It developed new growth, but was pale and white looking. So I decided to get this light to help it out. After just a few days it has turned to a beautiful, natural green and can even see some new blossoms starting to grow! The option for blue light, or red light, or both simultaneously is great, as is the clip to attach it anywhere . Also a big fan of the timer, for on/off. Overall, very happy with this lamp!

Overall, it works great! My plants are already blooming ahead of schedule. The only problem I’ve encountered is the timer function. Unfortunately, it stops working pretty often. I went a couple days without noticing it wasn’t working before finally realizing it. I now turn it on and off manually. As long as you aren’t depending on the timer it should do the job

This has tons of settings which work great and are easy to use. This is perfect for my indoor plants. This light has helped me to quickly propagate succulents, germinate seeds, and rehab my struggling plants especially in the winter time.

I have been using this light for 9 months: on established plants, to start seeds, and on small plant starts. I have tried all three light settings: just blue, just pink, both for purple. For starts and seeds I used it very close to the plants and raised it up higher for established plants. Let me tell you, this light barely pumped out enough light to keep my plants alive. They survived (not the seeds, they never sprouted) but not thrive. I saw ZERO new growth with these lights. HUGE WASTE of time, money and energy. I finally removed these lights to give away on my local Buy Nothing group with a warning that they will likely do nothing for your plants. I actually feel bad giving it away because it is so useless. I hope you will save your money and purchase an actual full spectrum white light bulb. I finally splurged and got a sansi led which has already proved to be a wonderful investment and I am already seeing my plants thrive after a week of use. I am including 3 photos in this review. The first is the light on all blue and you can see how dark it is. The second is purple with the light closer to the plant starts. The last is my current set up with white grow lights including one Sansi. This is a temporary set up but you can see how bright the new lights are and what a difference it makes. I am writing this review because I was one who listened to all the positive reviews and bought this lamp. I am assuming the other reviews are not real or incredibly biased because the only positive about this light is the timer. The timer works great. But, who cares? Your plants will be very sad under this light and beg you repeatedly for 6-9 months to give them a better life. Plants deserve more!
