A Star Is Born (Blu-ray)

The actors are amazing and the soundtrack is great. Amazing movie. Wonderful remake.

Cute movie!

I didn't know this movie existed or that Lady Gaga was in a movie, but I listened to her music often when she became very popular and hadn't kept up with her work much. Well, I ran across videos of how they made this movie, as documentaries of her, and then watched the shallow performance. Finding out that she has fibromyalgia was interesting, as doctors suspect I have it as well, although with different types of symptoms. I can relate to the chronic pain aspect. After a week of binging on everything lady gaga, I bought the movie. Rarely do I watch a movie more than once but I thought I might see this a couple times and let others watch it. So far I haven't watched it again, and some parts could have been expanded upon, but it was overall and excellent movie. Bradley Cooper talked about the hearing damage to his character, during his interviews, yet they only very briefly gave the audience a taste of what it is like. To give him credit, it could have been annoying for the audience to have them hear the ringing, and there was so much other content to fit into the movie. Lady Gaga is stunning in the movie and absolutely beautiful with brown hair and more natural makeup. Her acting sold the story and all I could see was her character. Perhaps the major contrast between her usual looks and performances and her character in the movie helped with that. If I hadn't known she played the part, I would have had no idea it was her, based from her voice and looks...........some of the singing might have eventually given it away. She does great at singing different genres. Bradley Cooper was great as well and I saw American Sniper a long time ago, but didn't know he played in both movies. Even looking at the American Sniper trailer now, he talks and looks much different. A few years of time and playing totally different characters, makes it seem like a different actor. I will certainly look forward to seeing more of his movies and also thought he sang quite well in this movie and I was impressed with the effort he put into making the movie and playing the part. A Star is Born is now one of my favorite movies!

Great movie So glad I got it with the credit savings

The Special Encore Edition/ Special Extended Cut is not this version. This product is the standard version of the DVD. Per Wiki "In April 2019. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announced the release of A Star Is Born: Special Encore Edition for June 4" I bought this because it said Special Edition, if you want the real one you have to buy it elsewhere or possibly one of the bilingual options (they have no detailed product info). It must say ENCORE if you want the extra minutes!!! I would have returned this, but I support a great movie and I will donate this instead. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Regarding the movie itself. It was a great movie. Bradley is really singing. He trained for 6 months to sing and play. Lady Gaga finally lands a major movie role after failing so many times in her younger years. The story is nearly the real-life story of herself with a few differences so if you are a Lady Gaga fan this is the one for you. For this edition that I received, if you watch the Extra Content "Road to Stardom" at 26:30 she admits this movie mirrors her real life at least prior to stardom. The main difference is she was found in a bar by a talent scout instead of Jackson. ========================================================================= It's been over a week since I watched this movie. It's one thing to hear the music(not the narrative version) like I did at work, but when you see the movie and then the songs are added (such as Shallow and Million Reasons) then that's what gets you. It sticks in your head and won't get out for days. The scenes and music and everything work together really really well. My only complaint is some scenes are difficult for you to hear what they are saying in the movie. Excellent movie, but if you are emotional or in an emotionally sensitive time, this love story movie may just be a bit much and leave you crying or in emotional chaos, because those songs were sang with real emotion and specifically written to enhance the scenes you see.

Good product will enjoy time and time again

I love this movie. Saw the advanced showing the night before it startrd in theatres. I was so excited to see it. Could not wait! I am a huge Gaga fan. Love her. She is so good in this movie. What a great actress as well as music artist. Her voice gives me chills. My favorite scene is when her and Bradley sing Shallow together on stage. Such a well done classic scene that brought tears to my eyes. Their chemistry is amazing. I recently saw the movie version with Striesand and Kristofferson and I thought they had zero chemistry. I didn't like the movie either. Forgettable. The only good song is Evergreen. This newer version has so many great songs. Never Love Again is so incredible. It turns you into an emotional wreck. When I first heard that song I cried my eyes out. And it still makes me cry every time I hear it. This was my favorite movie of the year. I've seen it 6 times and loved it everytime. The encore edition is great too. The added footage of Ally singing Is That Alright to Jack is another moving emotional scene. A wonderful love story. Highly recommended.

Great gift

Hermosa pieza de arte que vale la pena tenerla en la colección. Es una verdadera joya, de esas que llegan al corazón. Al principio me dieron fecha estimada no disponible, pero a los poquitos días me avisaron que llegaría pronto y así fué. Llegó en muy buenas condiciones y original. Me encantó. Súper recomendable.

Muy buena película que a pesar de ser una readaptación, logra tener esencia propia gracias a las interpretaciones de Bradley Cooper y Lady Gaga; la música también está súper padre y hace aún mejor la película. La película incluye tanto doblaje al español como subtítulos en español y el slipcover es muy bonito también con el acabado brillante y las letras brillantes. La entrega fue antes de la fecha estimada y eso por supuesto que se agradece.
