The Case Study Handbook, Revised Edition: A Student's Guide

I picked this up because I wanted something that would actually help me break down case studies instead of just skimming through them, and it’s been really useful. It walks you through how to think, what to look for, and how to structure your analysis in a way that actually makes sense. It’s straightforward without being boring, and it’s helped me feel a lot more confident when I’m working through assignments. If you need something that teaches you how to approach case studies instead of just throwing examples at you, this does the job.

I use this in my doctorate program. It’s been invaluable in preparing and understanding case studies.

Mandatory reading for my HBR course. Helpful for writing the papers in the course, but more of a one time reference.
