How good would these be to use to spot small things around 1000+ yards??

The question as written would be very difficult for me to answer. I don't have a good feel for what 1000 yards (more than 1/2 mile) looks like. Small is relative: compared to a car, a car window is small, compared to a bird, a birds eye is small. The thing that would not change is that you would need some kind of sturdy support. These are large, heavy binoculars and hand holding them will just cause you frustration.

Are the actual dimensions of these 25-125/80 Skymasters 18" x 12" x 8"? I want to find a good protective carry case for them beforecI buy them.

No, those are not the actual dimensions of the 25-125 x 80 Celestron Skymaster binoculars, Model 71020. I own this pair.The Celestron product box it comes in is 16 1/8" tall by 10 7/8" wide by 7" deep.This product box also comes inside a Celestron shipping box that is 17 1/2" tall by 11 7/8" wide by 7 3/4" deep. Is it Normal to kinda see a double image at full 125x magnification?

Yes, I really liked them at minimum magnification. I couldn't see well at the 125. It was double image and smaller and somewhat blurry. I was disappointed. I wanted something like you would see on an observatory. Like the space needle or a scenic view scope. I wanted to watch cruise ships in the distance but it wasn't really satisfied because I couldn't really see the people it was too small and uneven.

What is the close focusing distance?

The focus is a joke. I sent it back immediately as most other people did. Please read the reviews.

Binocular skymaster defects in it.

I like its 35x power and 70mm objective.I am having olympus 7to15x 35 old one 20ys.This is a good peice ,value for money.It will be more useful if one can connect a dslr to it.But to my surprise I got no rainguard and it seems used by some one.Because it has lot of dust on it and more over fine sratches on the objective lens.I got canon 80d also 3years ago, used dusty and no cds in it.Amazon should take care with suppliers.

Great ... But but 25x wala , zooming again and again is annoying..... And also not much clear at 35x , best view is without zoom.... Therefore 25x may be better, high range without zoom....I m using this since 1 year it is great till now, but base on money it should be better at 35x also

Best Budget friendly Astronomical Binocular

Very Good Astronomical Binocular to Beginners. Best one for the the budget. We can clearly see stars and planets on a clear night sky. Better to use with a tripod.
