Get the mouse, get the Logitech app.
Excellent mouse, the ability on Mac to assign buttons, including copy/paste is very efficient. Responsive and really comfortable. The vertical angle reduces wrist strain and keeps you in an ergonomic position. Highly recommend!

Best mouse for wrist pain - amazing battery
I was having wrist pain so I researched and this mouse was recommended, so I grabbed it. I was skeptical of the price, if it would help my pain, and if it would negatively affect my ability to precisely use a mouse. I work from home and I game on my PC for hours, so it is critical to me that my mouse pointing ability remains fast and accurate. This mouse is amazing. First of all, the thing is built very well. The quality is top tier. It has almost no wear and tear after a full year of heavy use. The battery lasts for weeks, literally. The wheel has a great scroll action. The vertical position of this mouse's grip makes a huge difference. The pain in my wrist is much lower than before. I can work/game for hours on end with zero pain with this mouse. This thing is amazing, one of the best products I've ever gotten on Amazon.

Pretty good with one small caveat
I purchased this mouse, after years of using the Evoluent vertical mouse. In my opinion the Evoluent is still the best ergonomic mouse on the market by far. Despite being pricy, I bought two - one for work and one for home. Unfortunately, mine is a Mac household, and Evoluent has pretty much given up on the Mac people. It started a few years ago when they put an announcement on their website that they needed to update their driver for the latest Mac OS upgrade. According to them, they had emailed Apple a few times to secure a developers kit but weren't receiving any response. They pointed everyone to a third party driver they could use in the meantime. After a couple years, and a couple more Mac OS upgrades, the third party driver no longer works. I now own two very expensive paperweights. The message remains unchanged on Evoluents website. Apparently they've never heard of telephones. Anyway, having had wrist issues in my mouse hand for years, I had to go hunting for a replacement. I tried a couple of different ergonomic mice before settling on this one. It's actually very good, which you can consider high praise coming from an Evoluent guy. With these ergo mice, the angle is key. Some of the others I played with didn't seem to have the proper angle. The MX, on the other hand, feels just right. It's got a good weight to it and feel comfortable in my hand. This model is supposedly designed for a larger hand, which mine is, so no complaints in that department. The angle feels correct and does the job. I'm also happy that Logitech apparently has Apples phone number, because they don't appear to have any problems keeping their driver updated. The app you download to configure the mouse does a good job of letting you tweak the various controls. Battery life seems pretty good so far. I like that the MX has an on/off switch to help extend the battery life. The mouse does lose one star however. For those occasions you are moving your cursor across the screen and your mouse comes to the edge of the mouse pad, the Evoluent has a nice indent for the thumb that makes it easy to pick the mouse up and bring it back to center. The MX, however has no such grip assist. Because of the way its angled, you have to grip the mouse hard (at least by comparison) in order to pick it up and bring it back to center. I can see how, if you're not paying attention and using a strong enough grip, you could drop it. Because of the mouse I'm coming from, it's a bit of a pain to me when I have to pick the thing up. All this said, the mouse seems to be a solid performer. It's comfortable in the hand and does what its supposed to do. If Logitech ever does a modest redesign and includes a better grip for mouse lifting, I'll be happy to give it the fifth star.
