The Berenstain Bears' Bedtime Battle: A Playful Story About Brother and Sister Bear Postponing Their Bedtime for Kids (Ages 4-8) [Stan Berenstain, Jan Berenstain] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The Berenstain Bears' Bedtime Battle: A Playful Story About Brother and Sister Bear Postponing Their Bedtime for Kids (Ages 4-8) Review: Great Stories for Young Children - Berenstain Bears books are great stories for young children. The book came unscathed - no bends or tears. Review: More bedtime routine than battle. - Based on the cover, I thought it was about teaching kids to not to fight and argue about going to sleep and the kids coming up with excuses to stay up later. SPOILER: It slightly goes into that but the main story is just the parents getting the kids ready for bed (brush teeth, bath, clean up toys, etc) and it has a weird ending with the last two pages the parents falling asleep and the kids reading their books quietly in bed. I was hoping it would teach the kids to not fuss and fight and argue and maybe it does slightly but not so much that a young kid is going to pick up on it. It also includes bedtime routine stuff we don’t do like having a bath every single night. The book really wasn’t a battle, I was expecting a battle like most parents do of kids wanting a snack and other stuff to delay going to bed. This “battle” was probably the best day you’ll have of getting your kids to bed. I think its still a book worth reading to your kids to get them into the routine. The book should’ve been titled “Bearenstain Bears’ Bedtime Routine”.

Won't give the kids any new stalling ideas haha
While this wasn't as epic a bed time disaster as I have caused myself, the Berenstain bear parents find their usual sweet way to solve their bedtime blues. I have found the berenstain bear books to be super helpful in giving me new phrases to use with my kids and new ideas on how to problem solve those pesky issues all parents have in varying degrees. I keep reading them to do better and my kids keep choosing them for bed time stories so it is a win-win. I recommend these books for sure!

Like it but other Berenstein books are better
There are many other Berenstein books that we like much more but this is a pretty good one. However, the ending doesn't leave a 4 year old with the greatest take-away.

Fun to read
My kids were laughing so hard when they saw bear siblings running naked at bed time. I thought is this us? Really good summary of every night with young kids.

So Good!
My daughter and I both love this book. It’s light hearted and we even had a few laughs. Definitely one of my favorite Berenstain Bears books.

Loved the service but too much plastic and bubble wrap used in packaging. Please avoid. It’s just a book, won’t break.

I bought this book for my 6 year old and she liked it very much. We're already a big fan of the Berenstain bears books, this was a nice addition to our other books.

Since we still had three books from the series from my brother and me, I wanted to get a "new" one for our daughter for her 4th birthday.... since the topic is relevant. :) It is done nicely but the story doesn't quite fit to the picture on the cover (or vice versa). There is not SUCH a battle. But I would say the story is very realistic of most families' situations with children stalling for time. Bedtime rituals are wonderful for parents and children alike and, like with the Berenstain parents, sometimes the parents can unwind so much that they fall asleep! :)
