The battery is wrapped top and bottom with plastic, and it comes with the 2 screwdrivers needed to perform the repair. Had this almost a month so far. I have not seen any abnormal performance issues on the battery. However, it is too early to tell, and I will update my review later if something happens. I just had a bad experience with another brand of battery on Amazon that died after 6 months, and its replacement failed too. Hopefully this brand is better. According to CoCoNut Battery App, it does what it says. I've attached a screenshot of what is reported. For anyone reading this review, after installing this battery, you should charge completely up to full, then drain it until it turns off, then charge it to full and drain again until it turns off. Do this about 3 times. After that, go to System --> Energy Saver --> Click "Restore Defaults" and change it back to what ever settings you want. Apparently, something in OS X changes hibernate and sleep, so it needs to be reset. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Only lasted 2 years *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2021* The battery lasted two years and then started to swell during use. It would interfere with the track pad when it got warm. Prior to the two years, the battery performed great. It was a good replacement battery. No issues up to the two year mark. It does not have the longevity of the OEM battery. You get what you pay for. Instalé, venia con 56% de carga, cargué al 100%, descargué hasta que se apagó, dejé descargada 5 horas y volví a cargar al máximo. La duración al menos en este primer mes es de 3 hs con uso full.
