Why did you pick this product vs others?: Do I need it? No!! But they are so cute and my son loves them. So easy to use, to storage and clean. Not the best packing but they didn’t came broken.

These are super cute. However, XL eggs are too small and do noy fill the mold. I am going to try jumbo eggs next time. I used them with sushi rice and they came out perfectly.

These have worked great for hard boiled eggs. Peel the eggs while hot/warm, and gently place into one half of the mold. Carefully close the lid or place the top half of the mold on onto it. Tap, or gently apply force while closing to jog the egg into position. You'll want to pay attention to the size of the egg. Large or extra large work fine for most molds. You might need a jumbo for the car or bear though. Align the egg sensibly with the mold and it should all work out fine. Drop the mold containing the egg into an ice water bath for a while and the shape will "set" and you'll have a fun shaped hard-boiled egg for your kiddos. Also works well with rice - the star and heart mold in my set separate into two pieces as opposed to being hinged like a book. So I separate them and fill the portion without the clasps with rice and invert the clasped portion to press down firmly to shape the rice. Then flip the mold and tap on my hand to eject the rice which holds together just fine. Use sticky, shorter grain rice (Kahuko Rose, Nishiki, or similar) for best result.

These are so cute and my grandson love having his rice in these mold. They are good quality and we also use them playing with play dough

I use this to shape eggs for my kids and it works great. Very sturdy material and easy to clean. Works very well but you just have to make sure to use the right size egg. The star and pig may require a jumbo egg. Make sure to put your egg in there while it's still warm or a few minutes off the boil or it won't work if your egg is cooled. Overall I think it's a great product for the price. My kids love it!

Easy to clean and never put dishwasher . We were very happy within the first 2 weeks but noticed it doesn't stay clamped closed because the plastic wore very quicky. Very cute idea for eggs but it doesn't last as long as we had hoped. If i want to continue using it I need to get a chip clip to keep it closed and THAT is even with small eggs. We will probably just use these for Kanetic sand mold as we find alternative uses for stuff that doesn't serve its original purpose.

If your eggs aren’t exactly the right size, most won’t work, when they work they’re very cute!
