Rain Chains Direct - Rain Chain Gutter Adapter/Installer in Black Powder Coated Aluminum

Works great with my gutter and goes perfectly with the rain chain

This adapter went right in to my standard gutter. I have new gutters, and the installer gave me a short section of downspout (apprx 3".) I knew I wanted to use rain chain, rather than the standard downspouts. My original installation that I did worked perfect on only one of the 3 chains. With the massive storms that hit California, the down pour did not adhere to the other 2 chains as it crashed down. The adapter fixed that issue, and it makes for a lovely visual and sound. I was able to leave the installer's 3 in. downspout and just set this adapter right into it. I did not silicone it. It worked to keep the rain water dead on the chain. Yes, I'm buying another one. Of course, we'll probably go right back to drought conditions here, but this is inexpensive fix. It's a no brainer.

Our house had 2 ugly downspouts, one of which was right beside the front door, and they were the main things that stood out visually. I ordered one rain chain and as soon as we installed it and tested it with the hose, we were ELATED! Some water does splash outwards from the cups on the chain, but since we don't get high levels of rain that's okay. And it helps to hang it a few feet out from the house, if your eaves stick out that far. Basically, it works very well to direct the water where you want it. And in terms of appearance, it's wonderful!!! No pictures yet because there's construction equipment outside our house, but this product does wonders for curb appeal!!! Highly recommend, and the gutter installer made it so easy to install, although it does come with its own installer if you don't want to order the more substantial installer as an extra.

Works great. Newly installed an have not had rain yet but hose tested with a standard garden hose which is 10 gallons per minute way more rain then I will ever see even in Seattle. Didn't even need to caulk it, had 2.5 hole drilled in gutter. Feel sorry for those posting not understanding how to install or center it. Drop it in unscrew the stud slide it out put the rain chain centered on stud and reattach, which is grooved in the middle and holds the top of the rain chain in place.....not rocket science folks. I will update review if I have any issues but aluminum doesn't rust, I expected to use Silicone caulk to seal but with the bucket style rain chain I have don't think I will bother.

These fit fine in the original opening.

I recently installed 4 rainchains on an aging, sagging rain gutter across the front of my house. One sag allowed runoff from the roof to splash on people coming up the walk to the front door. As I was installing them, I saw I needed something to channel the roof runoff into the chains and ordered 4 installers. Service was absolutely wonderful as the installers arrived the next day. They were also very easy to install. Finally, we had a rain here in bone-dry Arizona to test the installers and rainchains. They all worked like a champ; no more dousing visitors. They also look very nice and give the front of the house added character. Neighbors have admired them.

Thank goodness this exists! I’ve been looking all over for an adapter that would fit my smaller vinyl gutter. Other ones on the market are way too big. The base of my gutter is under 3 inches wide so this was perfect at 2.6 inches. I’m surprised the dimensions are actually accurate in the description! The quality and design are great too. It sits flat and looks classy.
