I have read the entire book and also recommend the two books by Larry Conyers, but they all have slightly different audiences. This covers the physics, the components of a GPR system, and the applications of GPR pretty well.

This is my preferred GPR reference book. I believe it is a little better than the Harry Jol book, but not significantly.
