## Questions & Answers

**Q: How high or how many feet of garden hose can this pump push?**
A: This pump was worth its weight in gold when your basement is flooded.I used a regular 50 foot garden hose that went up 1 floor and out the door.It worked great and emptied the basement in record time..The last 1/2 to 1 inch you will need a shop vac but then put the pump in the shop vac tank  to empty it when it is full..

**Q: In spring our 2 floor drains back up and flood the basement. Can I set this pump on top of the drains to catch the water as it's coming up?**
A: This is a designed to be submersed in water.  If the water is not coming out of the drain fast enough it could burn out the motor.  I wouldn't use it in that capacity.

**Q: Can I use a pool vacuum hose with this? Is a garden hose the only thing to attach for outflow?**
A: The Simer pump does have a hose fitting on the end that can be removed and a 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 (not sure of size) threaded hole results that you could put a threaded nipple in to adapt to what ever fitting is on the end of the hose you want to use.

**Q: Does it have an automatic turn on/off float switch?**
A: It does not have an auto on off switch which is why I returned it.
