It will release mold rubbers (such as polyurethanes and polysulfides) from properly prepared models. Sealing porous models (wood, plaster, concrete) or certain modeling clays (containing water or sulfur) with Smooth-On SuperSeal or other sealer (such as spray shellac) may be necessary. Universal Mold Release is effective over a broad temperature range from 70°F to 500°F. If using silicone rubber, seal model surface with SuperSea only. Do not use Universal Mold Release. Universal Mold Release also easily releases a variety of casting materials (epoxies, Smooth-On liquid plastics, etc.) from cured rubber molds. This product has a limited shelf life and should be used as soon as possible. Properly used, Universal Mold Release improves molding efficiency for a variety of casting applications and will actually lengthen the life of your production mold. CONTENTS FLAMMABLE: Keep product away from flame and all ignition sources. Use this product in a properly ventilated area with at least room size ventilation. Wear safety glasses, long sleeves and rubber gloves to minimize contamination risk. Store and use material at room temperature (73°F/23°C). From what I understand, paint or primer won't stick to the part if the release agent is present.** A: Release agent can easily be cleaned off with a little isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush. **Q: I have silicon molds and plan to cast with resin to make antler reproductions. Should I spray this inside the silicon mold for easy release of resin?** A: No. This is a silicone-based agent. If you use it on silicone molds, it will glue them together.
