Einhell Cordless Hedge Trimmer 18V PXC, 55cm., 22 Inch

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Powerful and convenient for tackling a large hedge! The Einhell Cordless Hedge Trimmer has been a game changer for me. I was struggling to get a gardener to come out to tackle our 15 m by 2 m hedge, so I decided to invest in a good-quality cordless trimmer and this one handled the job exceptionally well. The 18V battery provides solid power throughout the trim, and it cut through thick and overgrown branches without any fuss. It’s lightweight and well-balanced, which made it comfortable to use for an extended period, and the cordless design meant I could move freely along the length of the hedge without worrying about trailing cables or extension leads. The blade length is generous, allowing large swathes of the hedge to be trimmed in fewer passes, saving a lot of time. Setup was straightforward, and the safety features like the dual-switch operation give peace of mind during use. After finishing, I was impressed with how tidy and professional the hedge looked. The trimmer feels sturdy and well-made, and the battery system is compatible with other Einhell Power X-Change tools, which is a bonus if you already have other tools in the range. Overall, this trimmer exceeded my expectations. It allowed me to complete a big job that I otherwise would have struggled to schedule with a gardener, and it’s likely to become a staple in my garden toolkit for years to come. Highly recommended for anyone needing a reliable cordless hedge trimmer!

Very good shears. Very sharp, light weight. They don't come with a battery, I see people complaining about it, but it dies tell you 'no battery'. I've been using my 4amp battery, done nearly all my hedges and battery still going. Didn't realise how sharp they was, may have cut my hedge to low. Easy to use and blade is a good length to do the top off the hedge

Powerful yet lightweight. Long cutting blade with sheath for when not in use. Long use on a fully charged battery. Recommend larger size battery rather smaller ampage

Can't believe how efficient and powerful this trimmer is. I tackled an overgrown beech hedge and the trimmer performance was better at cutting fairly thick branches and was a lot lighter and far more convenient than my old petrol trimmer. After at least half an hour of trimming I was astonished to see the 4 AH battery still showed two thirds charge!

Early days yet, but I am pleased with this 18/55 cordless hedge trimmer by Einhell. I chose this longer (55cm) blade to provide the optimum reach and cutting area. It cuts well with an Einhell 4.0AHr Gen 2 (compact) battery. It is much more convenient and faster to manage large areas of hedging or individual shrubs (compared to hand shears or corded trimmers). I like the two handed safety operation, and the rotating handle which provides optimum ergonomic operation when carrying out vertical trimming. Also like the black plastic blade guard, which is a nice snug fit. One star deducted for the difficulty when installing the small transparent plastic hand guard. Update 1: Used this trimmer to shape six more shrubs, it did a good job. Far more effective than hand clippers. The rotating handle provided more comfort for vertical trimming. I used a 4.0AHr battery, it still had two (out of three) lights on the charge indicator. This trimmer is going to be invaluable for keeping hedges/shrubs in good order. Update 2: Second season/year, experienced trouble with the trimmer shutting down in use. Diagnosed the issue. The small grey plastic clasp that locks the forward handle in place, was intermittently not quite closing the small electrical micro switch beneath it. The issue was resolved by making sure the clasp remained firmly closed; no problem thereafter.

Excellent hedge cutter, makes short work of cutting overgrown hedging. Very pleased with this product, it is lightweight, easy to handle and slices through all kinds of hedging with no problem at all. I have previously purchased the Einhell drill and reciprocating saw (fabulous for rapid cutting through thick wood) which I have been using to build raised beds on my allotment plot, so I already had the 3.0ah battery and the battery charger, so didn't need to pay extra for these. Note: if you don't have these products already you are looking at another £70-80ish, but in my opinion well worth it, particularly if you are going to buy other equipment in future, and I have been very impressed with Einhell products so far. This product was therefore the obvious choice when I needed a replacement hedge cutter, as already having the other accessories I thought it was really good value. The cutting blade is superb, I oiled it with some 3in1 on arrival then set about 2hrs of hedge cutting, it went through a mixed 'bush' type hedge (not really a hedge, just ridiculous scrub), then a beech hedge, then a massive holly hedge with ease. I used to use a Flymo extendable cutter, which was not only hard work and too heavy to handle but the cutting blade was useless so I used to end up re-doing it by hand with manual hedge trimmers to get a decent finish, not so with the Einhell which leaves a very smooth surface. My only gripe for this is not about the product, but about the Hermes courier who delivered it. Delivery day came and went, they said they had been, but no card was left and I was in all day, so I knew they hadn't attempted, then the next day they turned up with it and stood in my front garden for a bit looking confused, it was purely by chance that I happened to be passing the front door at the time and so went out to see who it was. The cutter was in a very large amazon box, but the 'prime' seal had already been cut open with a Stanley knife, then someone had messily wrapped some brown parcel tape around it again to keep the box together. Okay I thought, lets see what is in the box - I opened it to find the hedge cutter also in its original box, but this too had been cut open at the top and left with the flap lying open. Nothing was missing, but it looked to me very much like someone in the Hermes warehouse had been looking for portable items to steal - maybe they thought there would be an expensive battery in here easy to take out or other item to steal. Seriously not impressed with Hermes and Amazon should re-consider their use as a delivery agent if they are going around opening peoples parcels to check what is inside.

Love this hedge trimmer. It has a well thought about design with a twist trigger to make cutting at different angles easier. Recommend

Agréablement surpris par la qualité de ce taille haie. Le montage est aisé en suivant la notice. Coupes franches, lames apparemment de bonne qualité, j'ai déjà le souffleur de feuilles de cette marque et la batterie est bien compatible. Quel plaisir de ne pas avoir de fil qui fini toujours coupé. Je ne peux pas jugé de la durée de la batterie n'ayant que 15m de haies. Seul bémol la protection plastique de la lame est difficile à enlever. Il ne faut pas hésiter à tirer un coup sec, et ainsi elle s'enlève.

Je possède déjà quatre autres appareils Einhell dont je suis satisfait, mais celui-ci sort du lot : léger, peu bruyant, facile à manier, d'une efficacité parfaite... la perfection ! A choisir sans hésitation.
