I have OCD so I loved the fact that I don’t have to touch the lid every time I throw something away. And changing the bag is very easy. I loved plastic piece that keeps the bag in place. Also It is operated by a motion. Meaning it has a sensor that when it detect motion it will open long enough to throw what ever it is that your throwing away and closes on its own. If you’re looking for one I highly recommend this one. I got the chrome color It’s Sealed well so no odor comes out and looks good where ever you put it. The size is perfect I’m the type of person that only buys things to make my life and family life’s easier and this my friends did just that. Arrived in perfect condition .I would definitely without a shadow of a doubt buy again if for any reason I had too.

I've hadthis trash can since 2018, 8 yrs. Last night it started opening and closing all on its own randomly. I cleaned around the sensor and hinges, replaced the batteries, left them out overnight on case there was any moisture. But it didn't work. Thinking that I'd only had it a couple of years, I came here to contact the manufactur, and maybe even leave a less than stellar review. Then I saw how long I've had it. Y'all. I've only replaced the batteries once. This trashcan has apparently been through 2 moves with me. I now feel as though it did so well for me, that I had no idea how good it was! So, I'll likely still reach out to the manufacturer. But short of any troubleshooting that might fix it, I'll be buying another one exactly like that last. UPDATE: I fixed it! Took batteries back out, turned off the power switch, let it dry about hours with a fan blowing toward the motor. Put the batteries back in, turned it on, and it's perfect again! Here's to another 8 years!

This was purchased for the bathroom. It’s nice to seal away trash for sanitary reasons and also for odor. Also it’s amazing to not have to worry about our pug digging through the trash anymore! It looks great in brushed steel color. Pretty sturdy but I can see this getting dinged with any slight impact because it’s a bit thin and made from metal. It has a small lightweight bracket that holds the trash bag and pulls the excess bag out of sight for an aesthetically pleasing look. The trash can itself stays in place but it’s not so firmly planted that it can’t be slid to reposition easily. I took off one star due to the wonky motor driving the lid. It flies open with such force that it pulls up a bit on the whole trash can lid when it hits the full upright position. It also slams shut with quite a bit of force. They need to improve this. I own a different brand by Wayfair that I purchased to put in the kitchen and it has a smooth open/close. Overall still a good value for the money so I’d recommend!

I've had this trash can for for around 2 years now, and it seems to be near the end of its life so I thought I'd write my review. TL;DR: It's okay, could be way better. Bag retention is good, odor control is good, but the condition worsens kind of quickly and the build quality wasn't made for kitchens at all imo. When we first got it, it was great. The sensor was accurate, it closed quickly and securely, and I like that you could open it manually and it would stay open, unlike the sensor option which closes on a timer. It isn't very quiet, but none of us minded that, it's not egregiously loud. The one thing I had qualms about was all of the various surface heights on the trash can, because it required constant cleaning that wasn't going to be an easily wipeable surface. Sometime this year, I have no idea where one of the battery covers went but it is inside the underside of the lid which I also don't love about it. But the battery cover was gone and the sensor mechanism doesn't work without 4 C batteries so I had to jerry rig it by taping the batteries into their holder. Not great but temporary until I got around to looking for a more permanent solution. Lasted maybe a month and is no longer working again. I don't know if this is due to the batteries being depleted or the tape fix not really working but that is a problem that I'm not keen on fixing because I would have to take off the entire lid just to see and due to the constant cleaning required is not that fun to deal with. Wish the battery opening was on the back side of the lid. The motor has also slowed down tremendously and opens a lot slower, the sensor isn't as sensitive or accurate, and it seems to not have the strength to open completely all the time. The bag retention is good with the ring that comes with it, except maybe a bit too good because one of my family members tried to pull the bag from the top one time, the whole bottom of the can came up with it. What goes up, must come down. It cracked the tile underneath. We now have it on top of a carpet with padding to avoid that happening again.

It definitely feels more upscale than a standard plastic bin. -It fits a standard 13-gallon trash bag perfectly without any awkward stretching or sagging. -Being touchless is a game-changer for keeping the lid free of smudges and germs. It's also very easy to wipe down. The Cons (Why it’s 4 Stars): -It works about 95% of the time. Occasionally, it can be a bit finicky and requires a second wave or a specific angle to trigger the lid. -It’s a bit shorter than I anticipated. If you’re used to a taller kitchen bin, you might find yourself leaning down more than usual. (Photo taken next to standard height counter) Heads up: it requires 4 C-type batteries. Since those aren’t typically what people have sitting in a junk drawer, make sure to grab a pack when you order the can.
