My exes daughter had some verbal delays and this helped her out with being more vocal. She responded by learning the entire alphabet and learning to count to 20. She used to find the letters and pick them out, or show us one and then she would show us she knew how to say it, and maybe something that starts with the letter

This is a great colorful mat that will light up any toddler room. I was able to teach my 2.5 year old son the alphabets and numbers from the floor mat without using a smartphone or tv. He likes to play with his cars while lying on the mat. it is soft enough that you can sit or lay down on it to play. I have not had a problem with the letters coming out or pieces falling apart. Some reviewers complained that the colors were not vibrant. My only guess is that the product not manufactured exactly the same each time and some tiles may be colored differently. In any case if you are not happy with the item Amazon has a great and convenient return policy.

My son was very excited about his mat. He also enjoys telling me his letters and numbers that are on the mat. Very easy to assemble and great for play room.
