It catches 99.9% of the sawdust produced my my miter saw. Virtually nothing gets passed on to the Shop Vac. Absolutely Amazing! It is kinda cumbersome and you have to make some type of holder or cabinet to mount the 5 gallon bucket, so it doesn't tip over - but since you are buying a dust collector - I assume you have woodworking equipment.I used a little duct tape to enhance the air collection of my DeWalt miter saw. There are YouTube videos on some ideas. That made a big improvement reducing the amount of sawdust left on my workbench.Update 11-3-22: I also bought one of those electronic devices that powers up the shop vac when the miter saw starts and then keeps the vacuum running for a few seconds after the saw stops.
