I was replacing a side skirt on my car that had sagged, after I cleaned the area I wiped up and down the sills of the driver side with *2* of these (keep in mind the size!). The 3M sticky tape I used held very well after letting it "cure" for 24 hours against pressure. This promoter is not cheap and you have to get a lot of it for larger jobs, but it works very well and you will only have to do what you are doing once. Yeah, I could have skipped using this and just applied the adhesive after a good clean, but I would probably have to repair it again in a few years. Now I won't.
