Review: Decent for what it is - I got three different cues for my two sons (ages 13 and 11) and I, the idea being that if my 11 year old would have his own cue he would be more willing to play. It worked, he chose the sword while my eldest and I took the dragons. While we all enjoy the game, none of us are hotshots. These are clearly not advanced sets, though they present really well, the packaging for all three were identical, the cues wrapped in plastic inside the cases inside of shipping boxes. The tips for all three that we received ARE screw-ins. There were absolutely no cosmetic blemishes on any of the cues or cases. The cases are wood or pressed-board, with liners and some sort of padding under the liners. There are small hard-foam inserts on both ends in the case to keep the tips and parts of the cue from sliding around inside the case, as well as some braces in the middle to keep the halves apart. It is apparent which half goes on which side. I honestly don't know what makes a 'great' cue. I've kept the cue in the case in my trunk and we've have several freeze-thaws in the two months since we've owned them, and there is no 'wobble' when I roll it across a table to see if it's warped yet. If there was a wobble I would have dropped it to four stars. I paid the regular desertcart price for each cue/case and received no inducements one way or the other for this review.
