DuraGrid flooring tiles are GREAT!! Easy to install and nice durable material. Perfect for outdoor gazebo to prevent moisture damage to the outdoor rug. Texture is perfect for around the pool because it’s aerated and can absorb moisture without being slippery. Any DIYer can install these with a measuring tool, mallet and chop saw or something to cut tiles to right size. 10 x 12 room took almost 3 complete boxes. Used cut tiles to fill in along the edges to avoid waste and fill in where needed. Tiles easily snap together for installation and come in 24x24 tiles which can be taken apart to 12 x 12 if you want to use partial tiles. I used PVC cutting scissors to make smaller cuts. These worked great to give a finished look as well as functionality. Definitely recommend DuraGrid floor to anyone looking for a fast, simple and easy way to add style and functionality without needing to hire a professional or spend a lot of money.

These were purchased (40 count) to create a walk-way in a basement that has water issues when there is a heavy rain. We affectionately call it our 'water feature' with lots of rivers and puddles after a storm. However affection is not the term we use when trying to walk and sop up the mess! We've tried various other products and DIY to no avail. These tiles are near perfect. They were easy to install, though I would highly recommend gloves since the bottoms are quite sharp and can tear up your fingers. We also used a small rubber mallet to tap down and snap together. I cannot imagine trying to snap together by stomping or jumping. Since the tiles are semi rigid plastic, I would not recommend a hammer, but that would work (over stomping) if one is gentle. They arrived in 2'x2' squares already snapped together. Luckily that was the perfect workable size for us because dissembling/unsnapping them is not easy. They are very comfortable to walk on and, once snapped together, the junctions create an incredibly tight, smooth fit. They are stiff and sturdy, which is great when you don't want to sink into puddles, or need to place furniture on top of them. Lastly, we ordered green and they are beautiful. So much so that we immediately purchased another 40 count with plans for more. The elevation may not be as deep as we need in one area where the water intrusion is more problematic, but they are a beautiful, and functional flooring improvement to what we were dealing with. We are above the water while it drains. Super, super happy

I installed this floor over my concrete patio. The installation was a breeze as the squares snapped together very easily. The product provides a clean, high-end look for the patio, particularly with the end pieces installed. The ends and corners were not in stock in the gray on Amazon so I ordered direct from the mfg. The flooring is also really practical. Now our outdoor rug is elevated and not laying directly on the concrete so after a rain, it dries supper fast. We are no longer fearing mold and no more mildue smell. The rain water simply runs off the patio instead of soaking the rug. And hosing the rug down to clean is easy as well. Another bonus is that the material doesnt get hot with the sun beating down on it. Its is very durable and actually feels nice to walk on in bare feet. I highly recommend.

These are the bomb. They fit well together and serve as intended. Great product.

Overall: these DuraGrid tiles assemble and disassemble easily, can be cut, lie flat, look good, and seem durable. They have male pegs on two sides that snap down into female loops on the adjacent tiles. Once laid down the floor is OK to walk on even barefoot, and takes reasonable usage of patio furniture etc with no damage. If a heavy, hard object eg. a pot of flowers is dropped onto it, expect some permanent indentation but it won't break the tiles. These are sold only in lots of 24 and 40 tiles, and shipped in squares of four. So you will get 6 or 10 such squares. To know: • Plan the work so that each new tile going down will be attaching via its male pegs, into loops on the previous tile. Trying to get a side of female loops under an existing tile's male edge is more difficult and risks damage (see below). The shipping box has a diagram showing this idea but not discussing why. • To separate tiles, bend their joint up to see which edge is male (pegs) and which is female (loops). Starting at one end of the joint, rip the male pegs up and out. This will take some force but is unlikely to cause any damage. • For installing more than about a dozen tiles you WILL need a light rubber mallet or a regular hammer with cloth wrapped around the head. Don't rely on your heel or palms (see below on edging). And you WILL need good gloves; the bottoms of the tiles are sharp. • The tiles and edging can easily be cut with a hacksaw, though you will unavoidably have a raw edge. Trimming excess plastic or removing unwanted loops is simple with diagonal cutting pliers. • This is soft plastic and the peg / loop mechanism is a tight fit. If those aren't well-aligned before you force them together, the male peg CAN GET DEFORMED. So go slow and easy on each joint - MOST ESPECIALLY when you must attach a female edge to a male edge already laid down. The safest thing there is to lift the male edge, slide the loops under and ensure that they encircle the pegs before using any force to press them together. This is the only real difficulty I had. • If a male peg gets deformed, you can use diagonal cutting pliers to trim away the damaged plastic and recover the tile. Of course that one point won't snap in as it should, but others around will probably be enough. • DuraGrid tiles are made by SnapLock Industries in Utah. They also make very similar tiles but in different materials and colors as RaceDeck flooring. Compatibility between DuraGrid and RaceDeck tiles is nowhere described. SnapFloors, which is either a competing company or more likely a sub-brand of SnapLock, does offer RaceDeck compatible parts. • You will probably want edging pieces for the completed floor. The only ones found on Amazon are from SnapFloors for the SnapLock RaceDeck tiles, with unstated compatibility to these SnapLock DuraGrid tiles. Go figure. And they are only available in black. • SnapLock does offer gray male and female DuraGrid edging direct from their factory. These can be bought at half that price from the WayFair on-line store. Unfortunately, unlike the RaceDeck product, they do not have special pieces for corners. So you will have to cut this edging to length in some cases, and when done clip off any remaining visible loops. The edging is a softer plastic than the tiles with a slightly different color. Not bad and maybe the slight additional flexibility helps with transitions, but not perfect. • Installing edging is best done by hand, using the mallet only for completion. The trickiest is attaching female edging to the male side of a tile. And indicated above, lift the tile as much as possible and, at an angle, slide the loops under to make sure the male pegs are properly started. Then snap the edging on by hand and lower the tile with edging back to the floor. Never just slide the loops under the male edge and start hammering - that will soon wreck a male peg and you'll have to disassemble the floor to replace or salvage the whole tile. Four stars instead of five only because SnapLock does a poor job of providing edging. It should be on Amazon along with the tiles, and compatibility made clear.

Who knew these tiles are game changers?! I disliked the bare stucco balcony floor but could not do any permanent change (rental). I searched all outdoor flooring before deciding on these. They are not cheap but they are pretty good at providing a sturdy floor covering, fast cleaning, and easy to put together and take apart. I followed a reviewer’s instruction to looking for direction first and then using rubber mallet to connect them and take them apart. Worked like a charm. I was able to put together a 5’x11’ area by myself using two boxes of 30-piece tiles and have 3 tiles put in a standing shower and 2 tiles in a tub shower as anti slip measure. BTW, these tiles work much better than the gel like shower mat with tiny suction (mildew and soap gum galore after a while). They are life savers for elderly people. I find them super secure underfoot and never slippery when soap gets on. For the balcony I bought a plastic reversible outdoor carpet to put on top of these tiles to soften the hardness (they are pretty hard under food) and adding visual beauty. These tiles and the carpet transformed the ugly apt balcony into a spa like area. It is money worth spending IMO. Update: my elderly mom uses the spare tiles underside up as food massager. She would stand on it or walk side to side barefoot. She said it was hard at first (painful) but became stimulating fast. I guess these tiles work as acupressure mat, too.

Very happy with these tiles. We used them in my basement that occasionally gets a little damp. Completely changed the feel and comfort level. Easy to install, strong enough to support heavy furniture, smooth enough to allow office chair to roll over well. We were able to cut it relatively easily to go around certain areas too.

This is a high quality outdoor tile. We used this on our outdoor patio. Bought 7 boxes containing 40 tiles each in packs of 4 (10, 4 piecesper box ). Installation took some time since we were laying appx 265 sq ft, original layout was easy while cutting for ends too some time. the original color of our patio did not show through these tiles and as such we did not need to repaint the floor. Installation is eaiser using a rubber mallet to knock in the joints and I used a jigsaw with a fine blade to cut the tiles for the ends and corners. PLEASE use some good quality gloves since these tiles can be very sharp in certain areas. All in all this a a DIY and can be installed by anyone with patience. Instructions are on the company website and also on the cardboard box that came with the tiles. Please pay attention to them before installing. We bought the evergreen color.

Expensive but totaly worth it. I put them in my garage, they keep my feet dry and they stand up to getting driven over.
