Best head mic I have found
I have reviewed these before but they definitely deserve another. Recently I had the opportunity to compare directly to the famous Countryman E6. Well .... it was a completely unfair competition .... the JK won hands down. Better sound. Less (virtually no) feedback. More output. The church pastor asked the price, after spending 300+ on the Countryman, and was incredulous when I told him the low price. I think Countryman is far overrated and overpriced. No microphone is worth that kind of money and JK proves it. It is NOT bulky at all, and the included windscreens are the same quality as SHURE, Audio Technica or any others. The Countryman required a lot of EQ while the JK needed almost none. The bendable mini gooseneck is FAR superior to the stiff boom style. Some people have "high price awe" and are disparaging about anything that they consider cheap, but these little mics prove that you don’t need to spend a lot to get good quality, and in this case, great quality.

Worth it
I hesitated, but once I received and tested the products, it worked well. It required to play with gain on the mic receptor, in the mixer channel and EQ. But finally once I have it ready it worked perfect. Feels solid. For me this is kind of "L" size, wich works well for L and M sizes. I am using this with a Shure GLX D+ system and works perfect.

NOT unidirectional
Comfortable, but that's where the positive part of the review ends. Firstly, thisiceophone is marketed as unidirectional. I bought this specifically to singbackup while playing drums. This mic picked up EVERYTHING around me, even from across the stage. I've used omnidirectional mics that had better directionality than this. Secondly, the picture is quite deceiving on how far it will come in front of your face. It only goes to about halfway on your cheek. Not great if you're wanting a directional mic. It needs to be right in front of your mouth to serve any purpose. Lastly, the sound quality is awful. I've used all kinds of headset mics from el-cheapos to several hundred dollar mics. This is, by far, the worst sounding mic I've used. Somehow it's both muffled and tinny. I'm sure this is partly due to the stem being too short. All-in-all, buy anything else. Literally anything you buy will be better than this, except perhaps in comfort.

Durable little headset
We have had this same brand for years, and for a couple of weeks were getting feedback so after church I talked to the sound guy and he was unsure of what the problem was. I asked him about the mic and he said it has been years since they replaced it. So I ordered two of these and used one last night. The sound came through very clearly with no feed back. I use it for the teaching, and not for worship. So I can't speak to that but for what we use it for this mic is great.

Fuzzes quite a bit
For the money, not too bad. I mean, its really inexpensive. Its only mildly directional, but it is directional, and has some serious hiss/fuzz. If you are micing someone who speaks rather loudly, it would prob not matter too much. But, its definitely not professional grade. The build quality seems good though. Its fairly comfortable, the gooseneck works pretty well. The plug gets stuck in pretty hard.

Excellent... for the price!
We purchased the MIC-J to replace Shure SLX lavaliers that came with the bodypack transmitters. We tested the MIC-J by connecting it to the SLX bodypack and walking around the room (100x80ft). Using my experience I found the audio to be consistent, intelligible and a little boosted between 350hz-600hz. I invited someone else to listen in and their opinion mirrored my own. The earhooks are a great addition for keeping the device on your head which helps to keep the mic in place. The MIC-J is also fairly light so it doesn't become a burden on your head if you need to use it over a few hours. My headline says "Excellent... for the price!" because you have to take price into account. Our church also have a few Countryman E6 with exchangeable capsules that can be tailored to a person's voice while the MIC-J is a little colors/boosts the audio though that can be corrected with a decent PEQ. The windscreen over the mic is a cheap piece of some kinda material which reminds me of things from the late 70's and it really serves no good purpose. Overall the device reminds me (both construction wise and vocal reproduction) or a decent, mid-range, hand held mic. It does its job well; it is not as good as the E6 but only costs a fraction of the price. It is a great replacement for the omni-directional Shure lavalier mic and I am more than pleased with the purchase. I hope to have a video review of the MIC-J online in a few weeks.

Good quality sound and comfortable to wear
The microphones were used in the Silver Fox Follies with singers and performers. The sound quality was good and they were comfortable to wear. I will order more in the future.

Does not work.
Does not work. Only static. I had it brought to me in Guatemala. Most cost effective to ship back. Wish I never purchased. It’s worthless
