Thickness and color of chocolate pudding. Spreads well, coverage is good. Bottle is about 3/4 full.
Seems good. But I'm not a plant guy, I just cut a limb off a tree and don't want it to die.

Great sealer, easy to apply!
This is not a large bottle, but was more than enough to cover broken spots on my crabapple tree with a lot left over. The sealer went on easily with the enclosed brush and the brush cleaned up with soap and water. I used it a month ago and it is workig very well.

Tree Pruning Sealer
We've got a lot of trees that are growing where they were not invited to be and so I'm going to have to be cutting them down and trying to stop them for the rest of the summer. I might need a bigger jar than this but as something just to try, it's a decent size and you don't use all that much so I think it might make it for what I need. It's very thick and does dry nice and hard on the stump. I tested it here on a Woody Vine that was trying to strangle my Canadian Redwood and so far it hasn't come back! You have to try it on the bigger trees, but as long as it doesn't allow light in and doesn't allow it to sprout through the open bark, I don't see how it wouldn't work. It's definitely a nicer more targeted way to seal something like that as my father wanted me to just use a spray can of black Flex seal as if that's nature. Friendly at all. But old timers have their old ways. I'd prefer to use something specifically designed for not only plants themselves, but wildlife since spring. Some toxic spray was probably not going to be very healthy for anything that happens upon it for the next 24 hours. So far nothing touched this and it's still out there just doing its job! They make this in a bigger jar so if you've got a way bigger tree stump to work with than you're going to need that one. But for smaller trees like what I'm going to deal with, it's a good size. Even if I use it all, I should be able to get all the projects done with just this little jar, so that's nice. It almost feels like you're covering it with a clay or wax surface. Just judging by how it looks once it's dried, but so far we've mowed around this little stump of whipper snapped and nothing is broken off so I think it's a good seal. I definitely recommend if you have stumps you need to seal but not huge ones. This jar does the trick! Five stars.

Good for small projects
This pruning sealer is good for small projects, such as indoor trees and certain outdoor trees such as roses and fruit trees. We are grafting miniature roses and are new to this type of project, although my mother in law is knowledgable in this area. She says this product is just right for our roses and I trust her gardening expertise. The sealer spread easily using the brush that came with the product. We left it to dry and now await the results. Beware the jar of paste is very small and really meant for hobby plants and not entire orchards!

Works well, but bottle is much smaller than they make it look.
I've grown bonsai for years now, and for the longest time, I ignored using wound sealer when pruning. A few years ago, I decided to try it and was surprised at how much difference it can make. The sealer not only protects the plant from sap loss but also helps prevent fungus infections and insects. I also found that my trees healed much faster, which in turn meant more growth. This is my first time using this product, but so far, it's worked great. I will mention that the bottle is much, much smaller than how they make it appear in the listing. For me, it's a perfect size, but if you are looking to do some large trees, this may not be enough. For me, the brown color is perfect as it blends in better with my bonsai and doesn't become an eyesore. The included brush can be used to help spread it, but a brush isn't the best option as it gets gunked up and becomes a chore to clean. Also, the brush is entirely too large for the container. A putty knife is a much better option. So far, I've been happy with this product and have no issues recommending it.

Handy for Pruning and Tree Care
I use Tree Wound Paste mainly for pruning some small fruit trees and shrubs, and it worked better than I expected. The paste spreads easily with the included brush and creates a nice protective coating over fresh cuts and damaged bark areas. It dries fairly quickly but still stays flexible enough that it doesn’t crack right away. I like that a little goes a long way, so the 100g container should last quite a while for normal garden use. It’s especially useful for bonsai work, grafting, or sealing larger pruning cuts to help reduce moisture loss and protect the exposed area. Overall, a useful product to keep around if you regularly trim trees, shrubs, or bonsai plants. Easy to apply and gives peace of mind after pruning.
