Replaced my DVD player without having to send the first one back first.5 stars all the way!Really wanted to love this but it seems that our is defective. The volume will stop working randomly, or it just decides it doesn’t want to play a disc.At first I thought that it had something to do with the fact that the disc was old. I looked at it and it wasn’t scratched but had a few scuff marks. So I ordered a couple new dvds and tried those. Same thing. I eventually got it to work but there was no secret trick to getting it to start working. Just a whole bunch of taking the disc out, putting it back in, turning off the DVD player, turning it back on, trying a different plug in.I honestly would like to exchange it for one that isn’t defective because over all I love everything about it.... except for the part that it doesn’t always work.$170 is just a lot of money for something that struggles to play a DVD ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Good picture, kids like it *by M***M on Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2019* Overall better quality than other comparable products. I have a Ford Expedition and the headrest kit would not fit. The seller was not helpful when I told them I has fitment issues (mount too large) and they suggested I grind pieces down. It fits now but dont trust that it will fit your vehicle even if the distances between your headrest posts is within the specs listed for this product.Update-wiring issues. We've has this for well under a year and used the hdmi plug for the first. Something is wrong with the wiring i think. When you plug the hdmi from your device into the player, the player turns off and it overloads your phone and the phone turns off. I burned through numerous fuses testing different devices, cords, and vehicles. I contacted the seller, and have yet to hear back if this product is even safe anymore. Not worth screwing up my car, etc. Not recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Works great *by J***X on Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2019* We installed 2 units into a 2017 Chevy Volt. The headrest adapters fit well. The kids liked watching for a long trip. We used both the SD card and the DVD inputs. We also synched up the two units when one kid wanted to watch the other kid's video - all worked fine. We used the IR headphone setup initially, and then got some different headphones which did not have IR, so we used the direct plug-in jack, which all worked fine. Good communications with the seller, though a bit slow. All in all, a good experience with this product.The only other suggestion we'd make is to have a case available, with enough room in the case to hold the player, headphones, and the AC adapter. That way, when leaving the car, you can take the player and accessories with you, to play in your hotel room, and to reduce the likelihood of theft from the car when street parking.
