this is a surprisingly good instrument for the price its well made and finished of well inside and out .it has single enclosed tuning buttons and a truss rod .this one was set up well and after tuning played ok without any adjustments no fret buzz at all.the strings i think are 11-46 gauge.ilt has a nice bright sound and plenty of sustain the finish is a silk finish and i took 1 star of because i think another coat would improve its looks but over all its good value

Requires Work
As with many Ashbury instruments this requires substantial work to setup correctly and get the best out of. Cosmetically very yellow and shiny unless you refinish. Poor quality tailpiece. With some work and a bit of extra money you can build a much better instrument with this as the base.
