Nice little heater
Minimum footprint on my small patio, a nice sleek look and LOTS of heat. It rusts like crazy and I assume the finish will mostly burn off, but it looks natural. It was hard to find a cast iron chiminea without ornementation -- loads of Southwest or grapes or vines -- but the appearance of this is easy on the eyes. Beware, though, packaging is flimsy and it took three deliveries for me to end up with one whole chiminea. The entire thing was re-sent each time, so I had lots of broken cast iron to dispose of, but Amazon customer service was fantastic.

Burning plastic smell and seems small/ cheaply made for the price
So you know the size it isnt a massive one I understand that. maybe 8 inch length sticks are best for it or thin split logs this is a "show stove" put on a show of a fire pit for your city friends The thickness of the cast is far less than my older product that was of similar size.... and at this price margin I expected more quality. the depth of the opening is tough to not have your coals fall out. were the inside grate lays is at the level of the opening and makes it challenging to keep coals in. ****Worst of all its been burning 2 hours nothing but wood inside since I started it and it wont stop producing a plastic burning smell since about 10 minute in. It made my family sick. I thought it was the coating "maybe a wax coating or something from shipping? No it has been way to long for that. I don't know how it is legal to sell a product like this making a household ill by using toxic products to coal a stove. I was going to overlook its cheapness and figure that what I was getting for a no name brand online but the chemical burning smell it creates it criminal and sickening. I will be trying for a refund with amazon. I am not sure how that will go. but this product should not be on the market as a product for being exposed to heat and it not pretty enough to be there just for show

Keeps mosquitos away
This thing is great, puts out alot if heat, and best of all IT KEEPS MOSQUITOS AWAY! Don't expect the black paint to survive. When I bought it I assumed it would need to be painted every. No big deal. Don't let the need to repaint stop you from buying one.

Definately on the small side
What I dislike about this the most is the chimney is wobbly after you attach it. It just sits on top and is held in place by gravity. I feel like if you ran into it by accident it would tip off. It could use more burning space. You have to cut your logs very small to fit in there. Seems like anything over 8 inches is difficult to stuff inside to burn. The opening is too small. Because of the limited volume it gives off very little heat. You need to be sitting within 3 feet to even feel anything at a full burn. I had a terracotta chiminea from Home Depot that was around 25% more volume and had a bigger opening and it made a huge difference it the amount of heat you could feel and it made loading wood easier. The only reason why I got this was because I wanted to be able to cook hot dogs and marshmallows with it and the terracotta one I had was treated with a chemical to make it water resistant and was not safe to cook on and also was prone to break easier if it were not completely dry before igniting a fire in it. You also need to keep it covered or if it gets rained on it will rust. I'm worried too about the feet rusting which make direct contact with the ground. I've only had it for half the summer and so far no noticeable rust on the feet.
