Quick drying hydrophobic and abrasion resistant upper construction. Reinforced toe for added protection. Padded collar and tongue for comfort and ankle support. D-ring gravel guard attachment point. Mesh drainage ports on side panel. Lightweight shock absorbing EVA mid sole. Felt sole for superior traction in certain wading environments. Accepts studs (sold separately). Review: Really like but... - I really like these boots, the fit, traction, support, looked to be great quality at a bargain price. Unfortunately after only a dozen or so outings one of the eyelets tore out. I was on a remote fishing trip so had to continue to use the boots. The following day the same eyelet on the other boot tore out. The laces had began to chafe and have since broken through the outer layer and need to be replaced now after 15 uses. I contacted Hodgman and their customer service was great, sent them some photos and the sent me a new pair under warranty. Problem was when they arrived they were the wrong size. Contacted again and they apologized and said they would send me the correct size. That was today so I have not got them yet but am confident I will. I have not seen any other review that had quality issues so I really hope mine was a fluke as I really do like the boots. Customer service is top notch and they stand behind their products! I wear a 9.5 shoe and the size 10 works perfect, room for an extra pair of socks if need. Review: Love 'em - Bought elsewhere but love them. Easy in and out. Felt grips the rocks great and seem to be nice and light. I like to get away from the parking areas and these feel great on the walk. Ignore the well meaning reviews that advise to buy a size bigger. The wader companies do realize that these are for stockingfoot waders and size them accordingly, so if you wear a 9 like me, buy a 9. Plenty of room for a nice pair of thicker socks too.
