A: The year 1831 tells the beginning of the factory what was owned by a group of pasta makers later in 1886 the Dececco sons took over. Its just a their history on the pasta industry. All the pasta is the same.

**Q: Is this thick or thin spaghetti?**
A: This is sized just like all other pasta you buy. We buy #11 which is your normal, medium thickness spaghetti. The question you're aksing is for the #12, which is more of a flat thicker spaghetti, similiar to what you would see in chicken noodle soup.

I love this product SO much! When I don’t have time to make pasta from scratch, I want a good quality pasta that doesn’t contain ingredients I can’t understand. This is my dried pasta of choice. It does not contain eggs, which is great for folks allergic to eggs. The dried pasta has a texture unlike other brands. Other brands have a smooth texture to their dried pastas, which sauce slides right off of when cooked. I find sauce sticks to De Cecco pastas much better. De Cecco is made in Italy, which means it will not contain any GMO ingredients. It is a healthier choice. I find that I eat less and remain full longer with this pasta. It’s delicious!
