Not too heavy or big. Can be used for a multitude of things including sandwiches, hot dogs, quesadillas, toast, etc. My kids can use it independently. cons: there is only one temperature. The plates aren’t removable for cleaning.Overall, a great buy. I’ve had mine for about 5 years and it’s still going strong with regular use. I can fit regular bread on this with no issues. I use the Sarah Lee artisan bread and it fits fine. I make toast regularly and we have panini night one night a week.
