allsun Mini Digital Multimeter, Manual Range Folding Voltage Current Tester

I'm an electrical engineer. For the most exacting professional work, I'll use a Fluke 287 DVM or spendy oscilloscope. But those are all big, heavy and expensive! This dandy little meter is perfect for keeping in a daypack or glove box "just in case": It's small and light enough its not a hassle to carry around. It's cheap enough I don't have to worry I might damage or lose it. and it's powerful and versatile enough to solve 99% of the problems I'm likely to encounter (or have sprung on me by family and friends who know what I do for a living)

Great small multimeter to keep in the vehicle tool kit.

Easy to use. I like this well enough. Compared to the old Radio Shack version used to own, it's slightly larger and not as intuitive. But, it's a good enough replacement. My old Radio Shack compact Millimeter fell apart years ago and it cost 3X more than this one. I plan to update this review if there are problems. Anyway, this is a good item at a good price. All the features seem to work.

I bought this because of its small size and integrated case. I carry this on my motorcycle when going on long road trips. It really saves the day when you get stopped by an electrical problem on the road. It's super easy to check battery voltage, check fuses, check grounds, see if a component is getting power, etc. Yes, it lacks some of the features of the more expensive units. Yes, it feels a little cheap. It's super small, portable, the built in case is great, and the price is super low. This is a must have tool in your on the road tool kit.

It's a good product. Hinge broke at first use

The next small meter costs more. Pay attention to what you are measuring and this should work well. Don't hit anything over 240v or higher than the amp rating and you'll be fine. I bought a second one because of how convenient they are.

Ordered and received 2 units. Both units were dead on arrival. Non functional

I like the size and convenience of having a meter such as this one in a travel tool bag. I will try again as I was very disappointed with this meter. It was Dead on Arrival (DOA) when I received it. I suspect it was the battery, there are no instructions on how to change the battery. After gently trying to find the battery location or door or pry point or any indication of how the unit can be opened, I broke it, Yes I broke the f’ing thing. Hugely frustrating that being of reasonable intelligence and slightly above average mechanical and electrical skills I broke a new meter trying to replace a battery. Yes I am dorky enough to to READ instructions. None for this unit on battery replacement. Now if the battery is a lifetime unit and you throw away the meter when the battery dies. I apologize to the manufacture because of complaining that I could not open a non-openable unit. However, the meter did not work out of the box! Value for money NO! As unit did not work. I wanted a meter not a wired paperweight. I guess I could use the probes as replacements for the “Operation” game, the one that broke 5 years ago but I could not throw away. It is a thin unit and if it worked would easily fit in your pocket or tool bag for convenience. Since it does not work it more like carrying a dead mouse in you pocket. Well it does not smell as bad as a dead mouse.

Just a great product to have around. Self armoured, so it doesn't get smashed kicking around on a motorcycle, self contaned, so there isn't buts everywhere. Tested against my Fluke multimeter, it's reasonably accurate. Certainly enough to diagnose and repair problems on the side of the road. Maybe a little tough to do communication diagnostics, but that's beyond scope of what I use it for anyways.

Great item & price.

Muy fácil de usar y de llevar consigo.

Charnière du couvercle déjà cassée. A améliorer. Sinon le voltmètre fonctionne bien.

Works great
