Expect even those that work to have a really dim light, and some inverters will make a loud squealing sound that's quite grating.I would probably call this a 4-star purchase at price for quantity (and with USB power) if not for the fact that they're broken. If you want *BRIGHT* UL, go elsewhere for sure. If you're willing to gamble for the convenience, they're okay but likely to show up at least a bit broken. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not as bright as they should be. *by J***Z on Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2018* These EL wire sets are OK as they are, but they just aren't that bright on 5V. They are really much better with a 9V battery or a three cell Li-Po. The other USB[box thingy] doesn't work at all. I tired all the working USB[box thingy] cables on all the lights and all the lights work. one USB[box thingy] cable doesn't work on any lights. And as the other reviews said, they are not that bright in a lit room. guess its 23.99 for 4.
