The torch remembers the last output selected and the screen tells you how long the battery will last in that output. There’s a handy lock feature (hold down the power button to lock and hold down both buttons to unlock). The construction is anodised metal and is very robust. The spread of light is wide rather than narrow but has surprising range in the higher output modes.
