Bucky Utopia U-Shaped Neck Pillow, Midnight Blue, One Size

I bought a Bucky like this for travel 30 years ago and a family member took it over. I thought it was time to get another one, and so far I am very happy with it. It helps keep me from screwing up my neck if I fall asleep in my chair, plus I notice if I even use it when I'm not feeling sleepy, it helps my neck to relax. I haven't removed the cover to wash yet, but the quality seems as good as I remembered my old Bucky to be. There was no smell or anything, and I have fragrance sensitivities, so I usually detect any odd odors or anything. The size fits me well. For the way it makes my neck feel, it's a good value and has so far been a good purchase. I'm glad I bought it.

I suffer from tinnitus and require a special pillow that has a hole or a low area for no ear contact when side sleeping. I did have a Japanese made buckwheat pillow that was kind of a crescent shape, and that pillow was near perfect for me. After years of sewing up holes and seam repairs, it was so worn, it just had to be trashed. I never found an exact replacement but purchased several so called, ear pillows and others that don’t fit. My ear doesn’t reach up to their undersized ear hole because my shoulder pushes the pillow upwards too far. It’s as if their pillow was designed for someone with long necks. I’m very satisfied with the Bucky U shaped pillow, so much so, that I bought an additional one. I don’t use this pillow by itself. I also use a full size flat soft pillow as a base for maximum comfort. I would rate this at least 4 stars and would give it 4.5 if permitted. Good Luck

I have two of the neck rests from 2001 and decided it was time for a new one. Mine arrived two days ago and is perfect!! It is so nice to have a nice new one!! Mine is not shorter than the older version as some people mentioned....in fact it is a little bit longer. It is the same great comfort and support when watching TV in the evenings or taking an afternoon nap in my recliner. I am so very pleased with my purchase!!

I like this neck pillow. I don't use it for travel because it's too short around the neck. I use it at night to help support my neck when I sleep and when I read. I had another neck pillow made of down feathers. It was okay but I sweat because the feathers kept heat in. This pillow doesn't do that. My neck stays cool throughout the night. The pillow is also very soft and comfortable, not hard like other neck pillows made out of foam.

I just love these pillows. I finally purchased a new one for the first time in years. It really helps support my neck when it hurts. Unfortunately, the bag was not included as it stated so it’s the reason why I gave it lower rating. I was really happy when it said that it included the bag because I like to take my Bucky on long trips, but when I looked inside the cover, it wasn’t in there. I even took the Bucky out to make sure that I wasn’t missing it, but it was not there. I just think it would be nice that if it states that it has something in it that it’s there. I just bought several of their products, for example the mini Bucky, the compact wrap, and the warm/cold spa mask, as well. Would be nice to get a Complementary bag considering. Other than that, thank you for a great product.

This travel pillow is really well made with a nice plush cover. For me, the fill was too much. That was easily fixed by unzipping both the cover and inner liner and dumping out some of the "stuff" inside. I must have removed about 40% of the filling, and then this was pretty comfortable for me. If this was truly "my kind of pillow" I would give this 5 stars. As itr is, I gave it 4 stars since the buck wheat husks were a bit too firm for me. The contruction, cover, and price are superb for what it is. For me, I found that I prefer memory foam type of pillows for travel on an airplane. I can't tell you what you will like, so I have stuck to the quality of the pillow from a manufacturing point of view. If you have experience and like this type of pillow filling (walnut shells, buck wheat husks, Australian Wombat toenails) you will be very pleased with the Bucky products - extremely well-made. If you like a softer type of pillow (as I do) you will probably be better off looking at memory foam type products.

I have used a Bucky neck pillow for years and the zipper finally broke after many washings. Have been highly satisfied with it so we ordered a new Bucky neck pillow. It arrived and we wanted to wash the outside cover first. The zipper opening is only 6 inches vs. 8.5 inches on the old pillow. It took both of us 5 minutes to pull the inside liner with the stuffing out of the outside jacket. Not sure if this is a one-time product defect or what.

A standout travel pillow that gets the size right — compact enough to actually be practical without sacrificing support. The buckwheat hull filling molds to your neck beautifully, and the soft, washable Midnight Blue cover looks great too. Excellent. I have a bad neck condition and find it difficult sleeping. I was sceptical at first, but now find it very comfortable. It fits itself around the contours of your particular shape so it should suit anyone that has such a problem. Very pleased with it.

I had bought this item to replace a pillow I'd had for several years. I wrongly ASSUMED that the Bucky neck pillow was microwave safe; because of the zipper on the pillow, it is not. I will note that the web description did NOT indicate it could be heated. But neither does it warn that it cannot be heated in a microwave, as the shipped product did. After discovering this, I was refunded for my purchase, and the refund was relatively prompt.
