Absolutely... that's the very reason I bought one. The 4 blade setup will blitz through onion, ginger, garlic, chillies, dried leaves(methi etc) with consummate ease. If that's your planned use for this machine, then I'd recommend it highly - just don't overfill...

Is that work with Electric

Please can someone confirm that this chopper comes with two blades sets and that the capacity is 600ml as stated in the listing. thank you!

Mine has now arrived. There is one blade and the containers are 500 ml each which I have no problem with. I make scones and pastry with them, you just have to crumb the 8 ozs flour and butter in two batches and then mix it in a bowl. I've just made 12 jars of chutney and used mine to chop all the ingredients. Wouldn't be without mine.

Can this be used to make a smooth hummus?

Yes. You will just have to blend it for a little longer than normal.
