Amazon Basics USB 3.1 Type-C to 4-Port Aluminum Hub, Silver

This handy little hub works really well. Using it for game peripherals, and did not need a powered hub. It is the very definition of plug and play! It will also come in useful when travelling with the laptop, (when travelling actually becomes a thing again!) giving a little extra connectivity. It is nice and compact, so it won't take up much room in the case. Good value when I got it. Recommended.

I do really like how it's made out of aluminium instead of plastic. It does have quite a long cable which is good, so I could have it away from my computer. The wedge design is quite good as it means you don't have to move it around to place the USB device into it, like the horizontal ones. All ports are USB 3.1 which means very fast data transfer. It took me about 8 seconds to transfer a full 1080p 3gb video file onto a usb 3.1 external hard drive. The one thing I don't like about it is the LED, I find that a bit annoying but I will probably make peace with it. The price is a bit on the steep end but now looking at it, I would say its worth it if you want a high quality USB hub.

Does the job. The adhesive is pretty handy. I have stuck it to the Center of my screen. I can quickly plug in an extra usb. I would have given it 5 stars however the cable is way too short IMO. Which means I have to keep my laptop pretty close unless I get an extension cable.

Nice, straightforward USB hub with a long enough cable to avoid any WiFi interference (which is supposedly a potential issue with USB-C). Weighty enough that it doesn't move around, and the upright ports make it simple to plug in a memory stick if needed. I'm using it as a sort of dock for a keyboard, mouse and webcam for my work PC laptop and it's performed flawlessly. I even like the way it looks and it seems well made. Would buy again.

Great little USB hub with nice aluminium build, so far transfer speeds seem to be great over Type C and had no issues using multiple devices concurrently on the hub. There is adequate amount of space between the slots and the orientation of actual slots means less chance of larger USB devices such as card readers or or drives clashing. The led light is a bit too bright for my liking and an ugly green colour and the too facing the front - this can be really frustrating if the device is placed in front of you. Overall i can recommend the device as it seems to do the job perfectly.

No problems with this. Cable is decent length. Sharp corners/edges on aluminium casing easily rounded with a file. Sockets on the tight side, but that is not a deal breaker. One slightly esoteric point: though the sloping front face looks good cosmetically, the brain finds it easier to deal with vertical or horizontal surfaces when pushing things into sockets. With a sloping face, it's more difficult to accurately process the angle of approach, so I find myself picking this up and squaring the front face to push in a USB stick.

This is a great value and well made USB 3.1 hub. It feels substantial, made from aluminium and it comes with a strip of Velcro to attach your hub to your desk. Transfer speeds are good and the black finish looks excellent on my desk, so as a hub it functions well. The wedge shape design sits well on the desk and allows for ergonomic access to the USB ports. There's a couple of key things that let this product down though; the first is a minor thing but why is there an LED on this product? Given that it's a self powered hub, there would only be power to it when the PC is switched on, so it really doesn't need any sort of indicator, but if they were going put one on there, why is a cheap bright green LED? A modest blue or white LED would be more in keeping with the otherwise premium feel of this hub. The second issue is a more important and that's the cable length. This is a fixed cable which runs from the hub to your USB plug and it's only around 50cm long. Whilst this is great if you're using this product on the go with your laptop, but if you are installing this on your desk then the measly cable length is extremely limiting to where it can be placed. It would make more sense to have a USB-C port on the hub that would allow you to add your own cable of choice rather than a fixed one such as this. For this alone I'm dropping a couple of stars as it become far less useful for the purpose it's designed for, but overall as a hub I'm satisfied with the product.

It's quite cheap - way cheaper than an equivalent Gen 2 (10 Gbps) hub - so even though it's half the speed of Gen 2 it's good value. All my portable drives are Gen 1 anyway, so it was a no-brainer for now. Works great out the box, with a 2ft cable. I would have preferred a port to connect my own cable of choice rather than a permanently fixed cable, but this is a minor gripe. Good solid metal construction.

Arrivato in confezione Amazon, minimal ma studiata per proteggere il prodotto in modo idoneo. Fornito con mini-grip adesivo per poterlo fissare alla superficie della scrivania o del supporto, visto che è molto leggero e con il proprio peso non ha modo di contrastare la torsione data dai vari cavi collegati. Utile, ma non tutti (almeno non io) sono disposti a incollare la propria scrivania... sarebbe stato meglio dotarlo di ventose oppure usare per i piedini un gel aggrappante come quelli usati per i cellulari. Per il momento funziona benissimo, le porte erogano potenza piena e la velocità di collegamento è molto buona. La forma è pulita e semplice, ed il piano inclinato di inserimento prese è molto comodo. La struttura in alluminio dovrebbe garantirne la durata, ovvio dipende molto dalla fattura interna per la resistenza delle prese USB ai vari inserimenti nel tempo. Consigliato!

Got a new laptop with limited USB ports but has extra USB C so this was great to have. The Velcro sticker also makes it handy to keep it in place

Es ist zwar etwas ärgelich, dass durch die zunehmende Miniaturisierung der Laptops wichtige Schnittstellen wegfallen und man sich dadurch externe Zubehör kaufen muss, aber diesen Fakt kann der Konsument leider nicht beinflussen. Wenigstens sieht dieser Hub gut aus und funktioniert völlig problemlos. Die Kabellänge reicht aus, um ihn nicht direkt neben sich haben zu müssen, die kleinen Gummifüße zerkratzen keine empfindlichen Oberflächen und die grün leuchtende LED signalisiert zuverlässig, dass der Computer noch nicht ausgeschaltet ist. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis für mich topp - klare Kaufempfehlung!
