Rockband 3 Midi-Pro adapter (Wii)

Methylated spirit and a microfiber cloth got the gunk off in minutes. Took a transistor off the board and this is now fully compatible with ps3/ps4. Great item for my pro guitars (mustang and yrg) works perfectly.

I'm a music teacher and this was my first experience with a musical game. I've been waiting for a device like this that allow us to connect a real instrument, in my case, a MIDI keyboard. PROs: - it's really plug 'n play, even if my keyboard is not listed as compatible. CONs: - for this price it should include a MIDI cable; - no manual so as a first time player I had to guess what to connect and turn on first, what buttons to press; that I needed the Wii Remote to start, and so on; - does not allow expression, because does not use a very important part of MIDI specification (since 80's), Key Velocity aka Touch-sensitivity. BOTTOM LINE: I was expecting not only to play a musical game, but to play it "musically". Unfortunately it does not work like that.

Using with a Yamaha DTXPLORER kit, was able to dial it in to work exactly how we wanted it. Wish the RB 3 game used the foot pedal for the hi-hat (it detects it, but none of the tracks make use of it). The only complaint is this is new-old-stock (from ~9 years ago), and the "soft touch" coating the mfr put on it turned to sticky goo. I tried rubbing alcohol, which was working but painfully slowly, and ended with using goo gone (which was faster). I was able to remove the sticky stuff with the goo gone and some rags, being careful not to rub aggressively around any of the printed markings. They all stayed, and sticky mess is gone. This is not the seller's fault, just the reality of buying something manufactured years ago (it was sealed, new in the box). Don't forget to also buy a MIDI cable if you don't have one, this doesn't come with that. We used rubber bands and zip ties to secure this to the drum kit in an unobtrusive place (it needs to be accessible to run the menu, and to dial in the sensitivity).

I had to wait until my Rock Band 1,2 and 3 discs to arrive as well as having to buy a $3 midi cable before I could test out how well this pro-adapter worked. It worked flawlessly and in fact it is built into the game as a photo of the adapter came up on-screen. My Td-11ks drum set worked flawlessly with the Rockband game and thus allowing me to drum much more naturally. The only problem has to do with positioning myself in front of the TV now, optionally I could buy a small HDMI monitor for drums only. Great toy!!

Lo tome para hacerle una modificación para jugarlo con rock band 4, la modificación fue fácil y funciona muy bien para jugar pro drums en ps5

Alles was mit einem Midi anschluss arbeitet kann mit diesem Adapter an die Wii angeschlossen werden. Rockband kann so einfach gesteuert werden.
