No, you make it up from a dry box which can be stored in your normal storage cupboard. Once it's made up then obviously yes you'll need to keep it refrigerated as you make it with milk and margarine / butter, however you'll probably eat it in one go anyway it's so delicious!!

Is this the Canadian or the American version?

The Canadian recipe does taste different, I'm Canadian but prefer the American version. Tip: The Canadian box will have both English and French on it as it's law to have both on all food products.
