This is more work to use and makes lower quality patties than a cheap 2 dollar plastic one that I used for years until itfinally wore out. It is very difficult to make burgers of uniform thickness...requiring the operator to lift the apparatus to see the results 2 or 3 times and then after much pushing down, turning the handle and general fiddling around, it is then impossible to get the meat free from the push disc without using a large spatula to pry them apart. I tried a little nonstick spray on the disc but that only helps for 1 or 2 patties plus it is adding oils to the meat which I don't really want. I didn't try the small size press because I have no interest in miniature burgers but I feel certain it would have the same problems. The diameter to thickness ratio is way too high for me, I do not want burgers the size of pancakes.I should have just bought a couple of the cheap plastic ones, they would last me the rest of my life. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Turns ground meat into easy to handle dense pucks that are perfectly shaped! Top quality stainless. *by T***S on Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2015* We precook and freeze patties and this made 12lbs of perfect buffalo patties in less than 10 minutes, and that was start, stomp, wash it, put it up, and clean the counter. Amazing. This is a godsend for making patties out of lean beef or buffalo because the pressure makes the meat stick together! For best results, twist the T handle 1/4 turn after pressing so the plunger face won't stick to the meat; then use a spatula to lift the patty off the work surface. It makes a maximum 1/3 pound burger with buffalo, but smaller can be made if you measure your meat out before stomping it with a counter scale, spoon, or if you know your "ball" size.It is easy to clean too because there is no nooks or crannies for meat to get into. It disassembles quickly and it takes less than a minute to hand wash it, which is a plus because we haven't used dishwashers in years. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Product *by S***Y on Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2013* Heavy duty stainless steel, makes great burgers. The Canadians outdid themselves! I use it with a food scale and sheets of waxed paper. After getting balls of ground beef of the appropriate weight on sheets of waxed paper, I stomp the burgers, freeze them, and then pack them into zip-lock bags.Note: Like all products, it has a technique to it. Gently break the seal with your finger between the burger and the round stainless steel plate.
