Some reviews suggested it's not bright enough however this is deep water fishing with 2 AA batteries. There is no way of telling how many lumens or anything. I bought it with the intention of using it for ice fishing as well as in the ocean in Florida and maine. I do mostly deep drop fishing for snapper & grouper. I have used several different brands of lights and this is undoubtedly the best on the market. I have lost many when I get snagged on rocks but that is not the fault of the product. Requires a pair of AA batteries but they last a long time. Would suggest to the manufacturers that they omit the snap-on clips and give us a reduced price.
