We used this to provide IR light for a Wyze camera that we had inside the window looking out. The built in IR light causes glare on the window and messed up the view. With this light outside we turn off the camera’s light and no more glare. Works great now.

At first I thought I had an issue with this unit. But I found out the cameras did not like this particular unit because they had different frequency of IR. So I moved it to the other side of the house. where there's different kind of cameras those cameras seemed to like the IR with no problem. So when picking out an IR infrared you might have to try a couple different ones on there's two or three that look like this one. The LED's on my cameras only went out about 20-30 feet or so. This illuminator goes out a lot further, enabling me to identify cars that stop at the end of our driveway.

I bought 3 of these. one of the first set was cracked, then only one works, but adds no additional light compared to what i had with out it. and the other one turns off the camera at night, as did the replacement for the cracked one. save your money and try another brand. I am still trying out others. have not found a great one yet.

I love this device this is my 4th one at my back yard it has less leds that the other brand names is much power full and shines far away my Foscam cameras love it

PROS: Durable housing - Proper female barrel power connector already attached CONS: This is only a 45 degree (as it is clearly marked on the product sticker) "SPOT LIGHT" @ best & by no means a 130ft 60 degree illuminator (flood light) as described. The spotlight is useful however for higher illumination around say a window or doorway (3-4 ft area) & will increase visibility out to 15-20 ft. Also the photo resistor was ridiculously sensitive ( I purchased 2 of these illuminators) and the infrared would just flicker on & off. Quick fix by just opening up the back & unplugging it. Overall, given the price... I'm not disatisfied with the purchase but cant recommend it to anyone in need of an incognito I.R. floodlight for a driveway, yard or any real increased distance.

I mounted this in my living room to play VR in the dark and it works perfect. Now I can get up in the middle of the night and play without waking the wife.

Five stars all the way on this item. Really bright supplement to existing WiFi cams.

I can illuminate a the top of a tree across the street from my place roughly 80 feet away and 60 feet tall! Using a Wyzecam with it

Illuminates through glass (IR light is inside) to 60 feet. Reading other reviews alerts me to possible reliability concerns. Similarly constructed lighting has demonstrated some rusting with assembly screws, so these should be daubed with rust resistant paint if placing outdoors. The light field works remarkably well with a Reolink C1 Pro. (Note: this camera model allows internal IR leds to be toggled off). The reason for using this external IR emitter is to eliminate IR bloom on the window where both the emitter and camera are placed. Other reviewers have identified about a 6 month average life to this light, thus the 1 star deduction.
