Even this last time, I picked up this 5 qt full-synthetic high-milage oil from Mobile 1 for use in my 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander SE with over 110k miles on the odometer. The oil change timer went off and by that time, the truck was very sluggish on the takeoff, so I placed the order for this and a filter. When they both arrived, I went to changing the oil immediately. Once done, I reset the oil life timer (I try to keep it to every 3.5k or 4k miles), started the truck and let it run for a few minutes to allow the oil to circulate through the motor and filter, checked the oil level one last time, then I took it out for a quick drive. One thing I noticed, the performance of the truck from when the oil was old and had miles on it was completely different after the oil change. While an oil change does not make the vehicle drive and feel like its brand new, it definitely does restore most of the lost power due to oil breakdown. It didn't bog down when putting the pedal down to the floor like it had just a few hours earlier. The fuel economy counter also showed better numbers after the change, so there's that. (Next time I'll monitor the before and after mpg to post here.) And I spent roughly $35 and about 45 minutes to completely drain the oil, clean around the filter housing, and reset the counter. Quoted at a local oil change shop at $56 and would take up to 3 hours. Next on the maintenance list, spark plugs and a new intake filter. Now of course if your owners manuals says use 10w-40 do that. It may be a modern oil pump motor. **Q: Is this ok for 2013 Mazda 3 Skyactive 2?** A: Been running Mobil 1 Full Synthetic Fuel Economy in a 2014 Mazda 6 that's at 55,000 miles now, no known issues, changing it every 7500 miles as specified in the owners manual. In checking around at some Mazda forums back when the car was new, other than the bottles of factory Mazda oil available at the dealer counter, this oil seemed to be one of the consensus picks for SkyActiv engines. The factory Mazda oil has a molybdenum additive and is much more expensive than this Mobil 1. Some suggested getting a molybdenum additive to go with the Mobil 1, however I've never done this. (Note, if you go to a Mazda dealer for a synthetic oil change, it will almost certainly come from a giant tank of Castrol synthetic or whatever. Ask 'em.
