## Description

Pitman Arm Puller

Review: Excellent for light duty applications - Works great for separating ball joints on light duty applications like a Cherokee for example. Not sure how well it would do on a heavy duty pitman arm. Light duty should be ok
Review: Did the job without any fuss. - This tool is designed for a single job and it does it well. Granted, I've only used it once, but the ease in which it pulled off the pitman arm was pretty impressive. I was expecting a big fight to get the arm of my 50-year-old steering box but it just came right off. No impact wrench, hammering, or penetrating oil needed. It slipped right over the arm, I put some torque on the nut, and the arm was off in 10 seconds. It seems sufficiently built, has good weight, and the torque "bolt" has a nice convex point on the end to make sure it's centered on your steering box. Unless you're a full-time mechanic you'll probably only use this tool a handful of times in your life, but it's worth the small asking price. And for those curious, mine was marked as "Made in Taiwan", but the quality seems more than adequate for the intended use.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this work on a 2006 Dodge 2500 4x5**
A: This will be strong enough to work for your application. I would measure to width of the pitman arm where it connects to the steering box and compare that to the puller opening to make sure this tool isn’t too narrow or wide to fit the space you to work with on your vehicle, but I have never had an issue getting it to work on various applications in the past.

**Q: 1/2" or 3/8" drive nut?**
A: The drive screw for this tool has a 7/8" hex drive on a 5/8" thread.

**Q: Will it work for Craftsman tractors**
A: It will work to pull the blade. However, when you take out the center bolt, they usually come right off.

**Q: Will this work for a 1999 toyota 4runner sr5 outer steering rod**
A: I used it on a 2004 tacoma, i can't guarantee it, but i would give it a shot(the hardware on the trucks should be similar, if not identical)
