Well the trouble with those is that they are constantly shifting around on my waist and, worse yet, when you invert to dive straight down the entire weight belt will often slide toward your chest. Until now I always thought that this was just part of what you have to deal with when free diving. Well, if you're like I was and have never tried a belt of this this type (stretch rubber), then you're in for a real improvement.With this belt you can stretch and tighten the belt as much as you like/need to get the right amount of hugging effect around your waist. I found that once this adjustment is done you won't have to mess with the weight belt the remainder of your dive. For me this is a really great enhancement to my diving experience.I debated which brand and model to go with of this type rubber belt and was aided in my decision by phoning one of the Amazon vendors (Austins Dive of So Fla). I spoke with a guy who works in the shop who said I should save my money and not get one of the pricey belts with a stainless steel buckle. After diving with this Omer belt for two weeks in the Bahamas (using 11 pounds of weights over my wetsuit) I agree with him completely. This is a great product!In my opinion this is one of those happy circumstances in which the least expensive product performs as well as the more expensive . . . in that it does a perfect job of comfortably keeping my weight belt exactly where I wanted it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super comfortable *by J***N on August 14, 2014* I have an integrated weight belt with my BC so I only use these type of weight belts when freediving. I have been using a a neoprene weight belt that takes the little shotgun pellet bags of weights, and thought that decent, but it was a bit cumbersome. I purchased this ahead of taking the Level 1 Freediving certification class and I am so glad that I did.In the class, we learned that it is best to have the weight belt around your hips (so as not to interfere with breathing from the diaphragm), and that is hard to do with the soft neoprene pocket belts. This rubber is much more flexible than nylon belts and stays in place.
