Paint Along with Jerry Yarnell Volume Three - Painting Magic

This book is a welcome addition to the vast repository of teaching materials by Jerry Yarnell. The paintings are more intricate and challenging than in the previous two books. There are moody seas and skies, dramatic cliffs, serene settings, quaint buildings, and birds, elk and a variety of wildlife in the compositions. The step by step instructions are comprehensive, with excellent and detailed color photos of each step. Mr. Yarnell does a terrific job of reiterating and expanding on the fine art techniques that form the basis of all of his teaching material. If you are looking for an instructional painting book that is beyond the beginners level, then you should find this book inspirational, challenging and fun.

This is a very good book. I love it when you have the book and the video also. I have watched Jerry for years and I hope to go to a seminar some day. This like all of his books are full of information for the projects you can paint. I would purchase any of Jerrys books

Jerry Yarnell gives clear, complete, and concise instructions. He also offers suggestions that helps you take off with your own ideas. He is an excellent teacher that shares everything to teach you fine art painting.

I've purchased 3 or 4 of his books and they all have the same initial chapters on basics. I've liked the variety of scenes to paint which I use to practice those elements I want to improve on or need to incorporate into a painting of my own creation

Jerry Yarnell used to have a painting instruction program on our PBS station, but since it does no longer show in this area, a friend and I purchased this book to enhance our painting skills and found it very inspiring!

This is a good book for intermediate and advanced painting. If you are struggling with the next step forward you will love this book

I love this book and Jerry's an awesome artist but don't think anyone can learn to paint by looking at a book, unless their very talented to begin with. I tape his video's on BYU network and watch them over and over and this helps. Amazon has great prices so most anyone can afford to purchase some of his books.
