I was looking to preserve the elegant look as well as protect it (along with a rear and front protective film). I was fairly happy until I found out I could not use the side button because of poor design and did an extensive search, reviewing all available X cases and decided on the Element. It does enable wireless charing (Mophie); I can now use Apple Pay as the side button (as well as the other buttons) works flawlessly and the phone appears to be very well protected. The case feels heavy, at least in comparison to what I had used before, and I'm not hooked on the aesthetics (cutouts, orange color and visible screws {not sure if they're functional or ornamental}). But I like the case, It feels very substantial and somehow the phone seems to function better (not sure how to explain this). Of course it is very expensive. I assume this is related to materials and buttons (metal). Of course the only way to evaluate the case is if I drop the phone. Hopefully, the money was well spent and will prevent breakage/damage if I have an accident. I'm very happy and highly recommend the case. Be aware. Taking off one star now for the price increase.This review is for the black/orange version. Love how great this case looks. Fits the iPhone X snug and is easy to grip/hold. As sleek as the iPhone X is ‘naked’, and as smooth as so many of the cases are for it out there, the Element Formula case is a welcome relief. Function AND form. The case doesn’t inhibit wireless charging, which is nice. “Meets military specification drop test requirements.” My only regret..? I wish there were more color choices besides Black/Orange and Grey/Blue.NOTE: While my order did arrive about a week late, CaseMotions kept me appraised as best as they could as to its ETA—the delay wasn’t their fault. Would definitely purchase from them again. They never disappoint. I can tell by the sound, when my phone hits the the ground that my case absorbed the impact. I don't even freak out anymore, I just pick it up and keep going. Only reason I knocked off a star is I've had better quality versions of their cases for more reasonable prices. The metal is more accent than protection. I prefer their more metal versions, but I am not paying over 200 for it.
