Product is great - instructions... not so much
This is the best "refill at home" kit available right now. It's the only one with the motor valve/timer, quick disconnect fittings and the new threaded tank design. I've had this installed and running for a bit now and I have no problems with it functionally. There are two areas of improvement the company could make. First, is the tubing included needs to be coiled into a circle for shipping. They have it folded and the tubing I received was full of creases. I ended up ordering some CO2 resistant black tubing from another seller. The other problem is Hygger needs to hire a proper technical writer and give much better instructions with the product. As of right now, this product is not listed on Hygger's website - at all. The instructions included are absolutely horrible. You will find better instructions on this Amazon listing than anywhere else. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure a lot of this out, but people new to these things may have some difficulties. Even with the old model this replaces, there are youtube videos where the people installing it are completely lost trying to assemble/set it up looking at the instructions. Eventually the figure it out, but this could be avoided easily by Hygger. Also, people should be using 600g baking soda, 462g citric acid and 900ml water. This (and every other 5L CO2 setup) recommends 600g baking soda, 600g citric acid. That is not the correct formula and 462g of citric acid is all that is used in the reaction, the rest is waste. And as citric acid is much more expensive than baking soda, you can also reduce your operating costs by using the lesser amount. It would be nice if Hygger and the rest of these updated their instructions/stickers to reflect this. The timer was easy to program, but I do recommend people initially putting it into manual mode to get it going. You will hear the motor open/close when activating it. Once you get it working in manual mode and get your desired bubbles/second set, then program your start/stop times in the timer and activate auto mode. The included diffuser is very good as far as a fine mist of micro-bubbles. I'd recommend purchasing a bigger funnel for filling, the included one is a bit on the small side IMO. All in all, this is a great unit for people who can't or don't want to get CO2 from local sources and want to be more self sufficient in making their own CO2. The cheapest baking soda/citric acid is found on Amazon in 50lb buckets.

Stay away
The tank and regulator works fine. The check valve leaked. Original solenoid/motorized valve failed within the first 8 days. The replacement failed and almost nuked my tank in less than 4 days, however the chedk valve replacement worked lol. I just tossed the bubble counter/solenoid out and ordered another RELIABLE brand. Hygger wanted me to email a video of the controller and setup in an attempt to blame me and not their product for the multiple failed valves. Stay away, trust me

Perfect automated system for my nano tanks
Very good stainless steel quality, seems very durable, good for the money since it has a timer. The co2 coming on and off can be weird at first but it is very quiet. This container fits under my stand perfectly. Everything was easy to use and easy to set up. Actually bought 2 of these since they were a good price. One batch of co2 mixture at 4 bubbles every 3 seconds last me about a month for my 20 long. Down side of this is that it makes your plant grow too quick lol. Love it though.

Seliod does not stop the CO2
Had some issues with the seliod at after a few days of using it. After emailing Hygger we had it working correctly after a few steps.

Motor controlled valve seized up after 1 day.
I purchased this item 10 days ago. I followed all directions but still came across some issues. First, after initially working the first day, the valve that is controlled by the motor seized up and would no longer open or close in manual mode, or scheduled mode. I contacted support (they only have email, no phone support) and they asked for photos and a video. I sent that, and then they asked for more videos. They kept moving the goalpost and I got the sense that they were not going to make this right. I ended up taking apart the motor assembly and got the valve unstuck with a screwdriver. Then I was able to reassemble it and got it working. I work in tech support myself, and was very disappointed with the support at Hygger. You get what you pay for unfortunately. The second thing is, the chemistry is incorrect. 200g of citric acid and 200g of sodium bicarbonate do not completely react, it needs less citric acid for a full reaction. Third, after using the CO2 generator, it doesn't reach full saturation in the aquarium. I believe this is due to the CO2 not being pure, you start with a tank full of atmosphere, and then add the CO2 via the reaction, so there is still atmosphere in the tank, mostly nitrogen. This makes the CO2 diluted. That's a problem you'll have with most of these systems though. Overall, the tank and regulator are okay though a bit wobbly after assembly, and poor support and accountability at Hygger.

Works great
Has been working good. Plants are growing quick. I give it a little swirl when I add ingredients. Not sure if you’re supposed to or not but I do. Only issue I’ve had is the water in bubble counter seems to disappear after a week or 2.

Motorized solenoid faulty
Update: I was issued a full refund after the faulty soleniod which was great. I found a replacement solenoid online that worked and I continued to use the product. The time came to replenish the mixture in the tank as the pressure had ran out. I open the bottle and get a terrible sulfur smell. Low and behold the citric acid mixture has been corroding the bottom of the cheap "stainless steel" canister. As far as i can research the only gas that would smell like that is hydrogen sulfide, which if that is the case, is super dangerous. I would avoid this product at all costs. Auto shuttoff/motorized solenoid failed in less than a month. The motor would activate but it would still continue to have pressure and bubbles through the bubble counter. Could've gassed my whole aquarium had i not caught it. I saw others mention this issue but I was hopeful that I would get one that worked...I did not.

Excelente calidad precio.
