Does it break up and dissolve the poo?  Can you just keep on adding powder till the bags gets full or do you have to change the bag once you poo?

Poo Powder® is a proprietary waste treatment powder that gels and solidifies liquid waste to a solid, preventing spills and splashbacks and contact with waste.  The powder encapsulates solid waste for easier and more sanitary transport to disposal. It also controls odors and contains a decay catalyst with natural enzymes to break down solid waste. Poo Powder® is pre-loaded in each of our toilet kits to successfully treat 24-32 oz of waste. More powder can be added to extend the number of uses of a GO anywhere toilet kit® or for use with your own bags. One scoop of powder gels 21 ounces of liquid waste, which provides multiple uses if necessary. Poo Powder® must be activated by a liquid to begin the encapsulation process. Does poo powder work better than commode liners?

The commode liners from Cleanwate already have some Poo Powder in them. This material's job is to turn waste into a gel. You can get more than one use out of the liner if you add a little powder after each event:)

Do you have to add powder with every use or just one treatment per pot?

Yes, per the instructions on the jar you use one scoop per "use".  Personally I sprinkle it over the "waste product" afterwards; not sure if it would also work as well, if you added it to the bag/container/whatever you are using, first. The powder turns into beads of gel, kind of like what is on the inside of disposable diapers, which absorbs all the liquid & in doing so, pretty much all of the smell.  I don't have the jar here with me to look at (it's at my campsite), but if I recall it says something about each scoop absorbing, say, 1-2 cups of liquid.  The different size jars say how many "uses" (scoops) of powder are included;  kind of like laundry detergent saying how many (wash) loads, or scoops, are included in the box.  For only two of us, using the campsite on occasional weekends, the 30-scoop jar lasts many, many months;  I guess if you have a large group of people or are staying wherever for an extended period of time, you would run through it faster.  The overall idea is, not only does it keep the smell down during the period you are using your portable toilet, it also locks up the liquid to make it much easier to transport your bag of waste back to wherever you are going to throw away your trash (again, think of it as the contents of disposable diapers, only without all the paper & plastic layers involved.)
